  1. Cool pic, thanks for sharing. Keith
  2. I do , looks like an International s series cab. I've owned a couple of them. Am I close?
  3. Thanks a million farmer, thats a great help. Guess I couldn't see the number for looking at it. You will also be proud to know I had the new to me R out yesterday, and when you put your foot into it … it rolls the coal real nice. Very happy with it so far!!
  4. Help Barry ! I am in Ontario Canada, I was trying to buy the radiator opening molding for my r688st.Two of Part # 24RU516, I have the clips and lower piece new already. Mack/Volvo shipped MAC 85136069 - it is a black rubber gasket that they say to use in place of the chrome pieces. Needless to say, I would like chrome. I tried the phone # for Watts but it won't work ( maybe because I'm outside the states) Could I get a # for watts? and is it possible to get those pieces ? Mack up here say "black rubber or nothing" Thanks in advance Keith
  5. Looks great leversole, nice job! I kinda like the white rims, looks clean. Enjoy yourself at Macungie. Wish I could go, maybe next year
  6. My vote is grey also. Your truck and trailer look great! Good job …………. And I don't mind the Kubota either.
  7. Thanks big dog, I am going to find out about chassis saver, sounds interesting. I know there was a thread on chassis paint a little while ago. I have to find out the Canadian equivalent. Keith
  8. Its hard for one of our Ontario trucks to not see salt Bigdog. It would have seen salt at the end of every landscaping season (hauled landscape stone). Its getting worse now. The municipalities start putting salt brine down in October any time the weather gets below 0 c (32f) even if its not snowing.
  9. Things are going smooth so far. Just small items for certification. Got my emission(smoke) test . A nice clean 1.4 percent. I'm getting the oil tested also. Hopefully things are ok inside the E6. Also working on the exterior. The hood should really be painted, but this is a bad time of year for me to start something like that. I decided to go at it with some rubbing compound, and see how it comes out. Turns out 26 year old paint polishes up pretty nice.
  10. To me , that doesn't seem right. Just my thoughts….
  11. I think that DMM would be a perfect addition to your collection. Hope you can figure a way to get it.
  12. I'm thinking your daughter will have the only B model at the prom. I hope you can find one. I think that's great!
  13. I like that. We should all take time to enjoy "the simple pleasures of life" and nowhere better than in a classic MACK! GREAT JOB! Keith
  14. Great pics Vladislav, maybe next years victory day holiday will be in one of your Thanks for sharing.
  15. Thats very cool superdog, I'm hoping one day you can do a video, would love to see and HEAR it .
  16. Wow!! That is one classy R. Good job. I love the two tone paint on the hood. It just looks right on an R. Hope you don't mind, my newest addition might end up similar to yours.
  17. Thanks again everyone for your comments I will post pics of any progress. Keith
  18. Thanks Alex, Its far from perfect. There is rust between the double frame and the air cleaner is a little punky. Rusty spots here and there, but it is original paint. So nothing has been hid, I like that.
  19. Ding ding ding we have a winner!! Yes it is their truck . The driver and the owner are a class act. The driver got to pick a truck to replace it. He has a 2013 KW now. I didn't see it and don't know any specs. I wished the owner the same luck with the KW as he had with the Mack (26 years trouble free). But I think the Mack will be a hard act to follow.
  20. Thanks everyone for the complements on the R. I'm really happy with it. At some point it will become a float tractor. I found a DOT inspection sheet in the truck from Aug. of last year 8000 kilometres (5000 miles) ago, after an hour long inspection no defects were found. And when I thought things couldn't get better. The fuel gauge read over half. Figured it was broke. But no, truck came with close to 200 gal of fuel. Hatcity: It was quite the opposite , they were happy that the truck was not going oversea or cut up for parts. They knew I was going to care for it. I showed them pics of my 85 and 86 R's 41chevy: It does look longer, but it is a 60 inch spread. 84superdog: I'm sorry , but I have looked for over 3 years for the right truck. Goes to show that good things come to those who wait. thomastractorsvc: A sleeper would look good, I agree. But there are other things I want to use the budget on. Aluminum front wheels, nice headache rack and some full fenders. Thanks again to everyone Pics to follow
