My new to me triaxle tipper finally arrived from QLD after waiting 6 or more weeks

Would normally collect myself but Covid is making things more challenging 

McGrath chassis tipper, I had been searching for one for some time now 

Mrs Mack is talk to the "Black Bitch" 

The Black Bitch got me interested in R models some years ago 

Fantastic stuff, love it

The business end of the truck

Looks in reasonable nick

A very tough looking jigger

Still looks neat as a pin for 1.2 million miles

Looks like a BP fuel paint scheme

Thats different

#ThrowbackThursday to 1966 where this hardworking B61T Mack is ploughing through the bulldust near Surat in South Central Queensland.

Bull dust on dirt roads was very common until the beef roads scheme in 70's started

The dirt gets that pulverized it goes like talcum powder and feels like your driving thru deep water as pulls you from side to side 

Lots of speed is required and on long sections it is some times required to hook road trains together with "stiff bars" or towing poles to push and pull each other thru

I haven't had Mrs Mack in bull dust like that in over ten years, its very hard on the truck, the driver and the load

I will drive a few extra hundred miles around the road than push thru bull dust for miles

Had my boy turn up last week, hadnt seen him for 12 months

He came for a ride or two in Mrs Mack, hence photo on the wrong side

Fun times ahead for you two for sure

Some look like they have been flogged from the Australian Army and painted orange LOL

the motor looks small down there , how many hp is the motor ???? any idea on expected range of the truck when done ?
