  1. Kings Dominion at exit 98 would be great for the families with other interests, I had also thought the fairgrounds at exit 98 would be a good place. BTW right at Kansas line trucking westward, no major problems
  2. I'll do it Brocky, was thinking of you when I posted the Diamond T's, I thought you would like them. Hopefully the trip will be not too exciting, once I climb Sandstone Mt. I will have a better idea of how she is going to do.
  3. I talk to Jerry pretty regular, he has a really nice collection, picked up a Reo there a few months ago, he sold a Mack not too long ago, not sure if that is the one or not, he is taking El Turbo to Salem, the Diamond T has a 400 Cummins 4:11 gears and Double OD. Lots of leg but not too much power, I changed the button for a little more power out west. Love the Mack and the DT. Hoping for only minor problems on the 3200 mile trek, not foolish enough to think it will be trouble free.
  4. No problem, one of my favorite trucks, you have good taste
  5. Don't get paid for going to shows, that's the fun part of the job
  6. Load the 2 babies Wednesday in an enclosed trailer
  7. Loaded some DT's on my ride to Oregon, have one more trailer to load with 2 more, going to take the long route out and back and visit some truck and tractor museums.
  8. Must be geared really high, I wanted to see how it would run with LP , chickened out at 80.
  9. Added a nice rollback to the fleet, will use it to move some trucks around to warehouse while expansion on museum is under construction.
  10. An R Model Steering Box worked well, glad we checked the Mains.
  11. Hmmm! Don't say that too loud, going to send the Radiator out to be rodded or cored, might measure for a condenser, but shutters would probably have to go. He mentioned it, but I did my hard of hearing deal. ( my bride knows that deal well).
  12. Had some Blow By and head gasket leaks. Keith really likes this truck as his driver, want it to be able to go anywhere, and the power steering will make it more fun. Probably won't take it to Oregon as we have some other stuff we planned to take, I know he wants to drive it to Magungie. Just replaced rear rear, went out on a drive coming back from parade. Hate to see it on the hook, lucky I had the wrecker with us that day. Also getting clutch relined and surfaces redone.
  13. Plenty of room now to install the power steering lol. Accessory drive pump and an R Box I'm 99 percent sure will do the trick. Taking care of a few other problems while I'm there. Bell housing with right side starter helped a lot for room.
  14. Looked at the Nash yesterday, came down a little on price, but couldn't make it work. It's a sweet little truck, but would take a lot of time and money. Too many projects too little time. It's all yours Paul
  15. The 1725 was too good to be true, so they put a couple Nebraska stops on to keep it interesting. Now got 4 1/4 inches to go, but I sawed off 2 and 3/8ths today.
  16. Had the Veterans in today at the Museum, an annual event. Kieth treated everyone to some good Barbecue and Fish.It was a great day, and a good thing to see so many smiles.
  17. Going to get a load for Mon or Tue delivery and go out and look at it. There seems to be some Ambassador engine parts available. Has 20,000 miles on it but the head has been off since 1974, always been inside, interesting to see if all the parts and pieces are there. About 1,725 miles there, so plenty of time to think.
  18. Saw that this morning on Hemmings and sent it to my boss. What a sweet truck
  19. It is the same truck, thanks for the help, I'll pass the fitness advice on to my older boss who wants this truck as his driver. I will look into slave cylinder solution. Thanks
  20. Working on the L Model. I know this has been discussed before but I can't find it. The L has a Cummins, going to In-Frame the engine and while I have the fenders off , want to install power steering (no air assist) . Can anyone tell me one that will work with minor modifications? Don't mind buying new parts but don't want to cobble it up. Thanks
