Well I was lookin and I was almost at the bottom of the blog list. Anyway lets look back into the last 9 months the boys are older, More bills have been paid, I have my CDL now, All this carrying sheetrock, shingles, doors and windows has made me feel a little better strength wise compared to workin security.......Other than that not much has went on. This week I got a noise violation ticket cause of one of the trucks at work. Were stayin busy though, especially with lowes just right up the street from us, we have 5 houses goin up at one time and a couple more just waitin for the rain to stop. Have a good one fellars, I must be off-Otherdog

Alright James, Where are you hiding?? There can't be that much scrap in Ga. I realize you just read and reply every now and again, but c'mon buddy. Just wondering about ya.
Been a decent week for me anyway,Since I'm updating my blog, Me and Kevin took some sheetrock up to a cabin yesterday, which all it had was a little dirt road to go up. We spun out on the second switch back and almost took it off a embankment. When the truck spun out, kevin said "Hang on Duffy", I replied "I'm one step ahead of ya". Anway after 6 hours they got the truck unstuck. I rode back to the yard with the buggy truck driver. Here in a few weeks I pretty much will probably be setting. There gonna try the Lowe's approach, Keep our 1-ton, Pickup, and box van, get rid of our 2-ton, and get another buggy truck. Most loads will be going on the 2 big trucks, as in 2 or more drops and so on. I'm assuming job search will be in the picture for a few of us in the next couple of months. boys are doing better now, over there cold & still growing like crazy. Have a good one......

Well it all started last week, saturday as a mater of fact. Waited for otherdog to tell me when he got his package I sent to him, "It was gonna be a surprise, but got ruined" I had to break the news to him sunday. Anyway, I believe it arrived wednesday, a WEEK after it was sent. Usually takes 3 days for me and him to send stuff to each other. Talked to Jobyna to check to see if it was delivered. You talk about a nice person to talk to..."The way I mean that is she don't know me and still treated me like I talk to her everyday" glad it got there in one piece or all 5 pieces are ok. Second bad thing is the boys are sick, runny noses, inner ear infections, etc. I think they are already getting better. The rest of the week wasn't to bad. Had tuesday off because I had to work saturday, and finally found some overalls at a reasonable price. Probably took out about 15 loads this week, which isn't good, but between 6 guys it's not too bad. Got in a race this week, Yes in the Potter's 2-ton truck. Raced a highway department 2-ton dump truck. My truck is a '94 chevy kodiak w/a 366 gas motor, 18ft flat bed, 5 speed w/single speed rear. His was a '04 chevy kodiak w/a 366 gas motor, 5 speed w/2 speed rear, 10ft. dump . He got behind me coming out of their shop, I was empty coming back from a delivery, and he was keeping the pace with me all the way back to the 4-lanes. He followed me for about 2 redlights then pulled beside me in the right lane. We both gave each other shit eatin grins, then we was gone, I started in lo when I shoulda started in 2nd, He couldn't hang with me until i hit 4th, after that he walked all over me. After i caught up "Or he slowed down" I threw my hand up at him and he did the same. That was friday, well the guy stopped by today to pick up a tub for his brother, right away we recognized each other and just started laughing, I told him he was laying one hell of a a$$ whoopin' on me, he replied "I thought you was gonna walk on me" and he thought I had let up. Hell I wasn't even letting off the gas to shift. I guess that's enough of my racing. Pretty crappy weekend though gotta haul off garbage, change oil, go get a boat trailer tomorrow, probably find something else to do too. Need to mow, but runnin' outa time. As Otherdog would say "I must be off"

Well I was over on the diesel gypsy's site looking aroun and figured I would update my blog a little. It's 11:55 pm and the boys turn 8 months old in 5 minutes. It's going to quick for me, They both have 3 teeth and they are both crawling. Very fun it is, anyway I about lost my job this week over a big misunderstanding. When I got hired i was supposed to make my f endorsement "Which means for hire" on my license. I took 2 loads out on tuesday and when I got back they said I had till friday to make them or I was fired. Thanks for the warning I said, but I made them. I ended up paying 26.50 after I figured out my class a permit had expired. After I got that straightened out, theyt found out I had a permit and are thinking about putting me as the back up buggy driver + gonna let me use the truck to make my class b's. Hopefully I'll have some newer pictures of the boys to post up soon. Another fun week at Potters Home center I always say, but just glad to be employed. I think I'm becoming more of an all around guy so to speak, I work on the trucks more than I drive then anymore, adjusting brakes, I'm fixing the a/c in the 2 ton saturday, greasing trucks. Well it's late so "I Must Be Off" as Otherdog would say......and Hi ya back at ya Tom...You folks have a good one

Well I was gonna start a new blog thursday, but was tired after work. Was pretty the first 2 days this week and busy then it started raining wednesday morning. Tempertures started dropping stayed in the high 50s and low 60's. Thursday was an interesting day had to stay over for a while to unload a truck with osb board, I helped the driver unstrap and untarp, then used the forklift to haul his tarps and straps to the other side, What can I say I'm a friend of the american trucker. They was gonna make the driver stay there all night till in the morning, but i talked them out of it. Other than that it was an alright week though, my boots are still soaked from all the rain. Kinda cool working there though, because the guy that drives the tandem GMC worked with dad back in the day. My first day there I knew him from somewhere, but couldn't remember where it was now we talk about back in our TCT days. Even though I was just 13 at the time I remember alot. Anyways I'm gonna go spend some time with my family. Catch you guys on the flip side......I Must Be Off.......

Well I started a new job this week. After getting layed off at the plastics factory, I got called for an interview tuesday and started wednesday. It's for a lumber yard here in town, making deliveries and helping customers. Only bad part is I have to work till 6:00 in the evening, but it's a job that pays the bills. Mowed the grass today which was way overdue, and gonna try and get my old ford back to runnin' this week. I kinda feel like Johnny Cash, "I get it one piece at a time". We'll time to go grocery shopping. As Other Dog would say "I must be off".....

Well That's what I done yesterday, and man I wish I had more to haul off. Anyway I just talked to Othedog earlier and he was talking about seeing all kinds of trucks haulin decent vehicles off just for the quick buck, I seen a 2002 or 2003 model ford focus wrecked, but in repairable condition though at the scrap yard a 70's model transtar 2 cab down there in very good shape. It's crazy what people are doing nowadays, but as high as gas and everything else is i don't blame them. Amber and the boys have fell asleep on me so now I have time to update my blog. Copper is geting out of hand down here also people are burning houses and robbing peoples houses just for a little copper. If I can find enough I'll keep on haulin it, but it's getting scarce around here. Well as Otherdog says I must be off, and everyone have a good one.
  8. NoClueJoe66
Well I guess eveyone knows I finally found a job which is pretty easy except for standing on your feet for 12 hours solid. Other than that the job is actually great, people are nice and ready to help at any time needed. Amber's brother work's the same shift so if we work together we cut up alot. You can listen to your own music eat anytime, and it's fast paced work at times. I've never liked a factory job except for this one. The only reason i'm still up is I have nowhere to sleep in the bed Amber and the boys are taking up the WHOLE bed. Anyway my schedule is messed up so if you call and I don't answer jut leave a message, I check my phone constantly, but they only let us use them on breaks. My schedule is like I work monday tesday, off wednesday thursday, work friday saturday sunday, then off monday tuesday, work wednesday thursday, off friday saturday sunday. I'm working this weekend though..... is about the way I feel now so I'm gonna hit the couch with the cats for awhile. Oh yeah Paul I forgot for some reason to give you my cell, like said I check my phone constantly. Anyway I'll try to touch base with everyone this week......see you guys on the flip side

Sorry otherdog not trying to be like you, but just posting a few of my pics. The boys went and had their easter pictures made yesterday. I told Amber that the real easter bunny is on tour with Snoop Dogg, unlike Santa Clause which is a Colombian drug lord.....anyway here are a few pctures I've been meaning to post. One of them is of the boys, the other ones are the kenworth t-600 my dad drove and the '84 GMC Brigadier my buddy has. The T-600 had a 425 manual pump caterpillar, 13 over trans., and alll the bells and whistles for a 94 model. The same compan still owns this truck, but the 5th wheel is gone all the wheels are gone and some of the motor parts also. The gmc has a 350 cummins, 10spd, spring susp. pretty plain, but still a decent truck....well gotta help get the boys ready for tomorrow.
  10. NoClueJoe66
Well the mont is almost over and I hae to say it's been a weird one. I know that I've not been on here much lately, but hopefully that'll change soon. Some of you guys know that i lost my job, and I've been searching high and low with no luck yet. I think I might have found one runnin' a dozer in the woods, but it's been awhile since I've run dozer so we'll see. Finally got some snow last night and that's why I'm not out job hunting today, because of the slick roads. Parker and Paxton are doing fine. Paxton's trying to cut a tooth already. They was 3 months old the 25th of this month. Well I guess that's enough rambling for now.....See you guys later.
  11. NoClueJoe66
Well the snow finally melted today which was nice, we went to town to grocery store since it had warmed up a little. After we got back I went to clean up the garage, but that was short lived. My poor ol grinder had the big lick when I was using it to cut the top off of a 50 gallon drum I was going to use for trash collecting. After that incident I moved stuff around trying to make everything neater, but everything in front of me ended up piled up or stacked up behind me. After a couple of hours at that I gave up and come in the house to get ready for tomorrow. A friend of mine's sister is a receptionist at a heating & air shop and there hiring a few guys, so maybe I'll get hired on there.Well I gotta go and finish my reheated 2 day old papa john's pizza, cheeto's and sunkist pop. A quick dinner before I shave and all that jazz. Everybody have a good night and I'll catch you fellar's later. I'm gone as other dog says.

Almost 70 degrees today in knoxville and just to think we had snow wednesday and thursday. I didn't go to harlan county today instead we wen't to knoxville to take amber's pregnant aunt to a baby consingment sale. If you don't know what that is it's a big sale of all kinds of baby items. i tried to stay home, but they wouldn't take the suburbabn by thereselves, they claim i's to big!!! On the way we stopped by the county jail to see amber's uncle, everyone was inside except for me and parker "we was jammin' to the sirius satellite radio" then all of the sudden I heard something hit my door. Woman next to me in a newer model yukon being careless. I got out look to see no scratch, but was expecting a apology of some sort, but all I got was a funny look and overheard her laughing to the pssenger while telling her "It's old it won't hurt it". I've already been a victim of a wal-mart buggy run away to the drivers door. I realize it's an '88 but jeez!!! It looks decent enough to take good care of, anyway I got a recever hitch for it today so I can pull my traier, bad part is where the receiver's got a drop in it the trailer looks like it's nose diving. Gonna haul the garbage off and see how it does pulling a trailer around. I believe I'll be alright powerwise, but tight spots are gonna be a hassle, that thing cuts wider than i don't know what. Enough rambling for now see you guys....
  13. NoClueJoe66
Not sure if anyone knows it or not but, otherdog goes by the name "Thomas Blackwell" I found out after extensive research his birth name was Bernard Rubble!!! His son Bam-Bam married Pebbles Flintsone for awhile had enough kids to start a small country with then divorced in the early 70's. Barney's wife was cheating on him while he was out of town driving truck with Fred Flintstone. After Barney found out he decided him and Bam-Bam should move away from Pa. and start a new life somewhere different. As barney pulled out the wide atlas he shut his eyes and layed his finger down, wher it landed was Gladys, Va. They moved there Changed there names to Blackwell and lived happy for awhile........

And what a nice one it was. Me and him went to wal-mart friday to do a little grocery shopping and he seemed to enjoy himself. He had never rode in the pickup before and acted like he was excitied taking in all the noises the truck made. We got all our shopping done after all the women was going crazy over him smiling and kackling... until we got to the checkout and man he let me have it big time crying and fussing. I ended up having to hold him in one arm and put all the groceries up with the other. On the way home we had a few stops and he finally fell asleep 4 miles from the house. It was a nice day though me and my son just a hanging out laughing at each other. Parker couldn't go this time because he's felling a little under the weather, but he'll be going with me soon....

What's the deal with people anymore, they wouldn't realize a decent movie if it hit them in the face. I've been watching some older movies the last few days and I come across Porky's. My dad loved this movie even though it's a little perverted, but you wouldn't believe the people that hasn't even seen this movie. Convoy is another one half the people I know haven't even heard of this movie much less watched it. I grew up watching movies like this, but with people today if it don't have the best actor out their or their favorite actor for that matter they won't watch it. I like newer movies to, but I occasionally like watching movies like "White Line Fever" or "Porky's". I would like to see Movin' on and BJ and The Bear re-aired on tv to show people what real tv was back in the day. Sorry to go on It's like everything is getting outdated because 1 or 2 people hates it or their wasn't enough ratings for it. Name off a few shows or movies you guys like.

I was starting to wonder when we was gonna get some snow, then bam here it is. It snowed probably 2 or 3 inches here and layed pretty nice. Only problem was my water froze up, and the reason being we had to work on the well this summer and forgot to wrap everything up. Other than that it was fine. Parker and Paxton got to see their first snow, which I guess is just another thing to them, but alot to me and Amber. Finally gonna get to retire my Toyota pickup for awhile, got a '91 nissan pickup to go in it's place. Finding room for all this stuff is my biggest problem right know, my '52 f-600 is gonna be for sale real soon so that'll be out of the way "Hopefully the money from it can be the starting of a Mack truck fund". We have a '00 Kia sportage awaiting a motor, my current daily driver '89 toyota pickup, '91 nissan pickup, and my dad's '69 chevrolet C-10 is gonna be here real soon. People have a hard time understanding that the '69 is near dear to my heart, because it's about the only thing I have left to remember my dad.
Woke up this morning to see we had no electricity, first thing I said was "Did we forget to pay the bill?" Amber said it had already been paid and wasn't due for awhile, so ok we get the boys ready to go and I walk in the laundry room to find the main breaker had tripped. I had the box open to turn the hot water heater off, because of no water and the cats had jumped up playing around it and accidentally tripped the breaker. Know it's back to work until tuesday, missing my sons like crazy, but looking forward to seeing them after work. Paxton thinks he's a big boy all of the sudden. He was laying in the bed wednesday night and we was setting beside of him watching t.v. and talking to him, then all of the sudden he get's fussy not knowing what is wrong we try to feed him, change him, & burp him, but it's not helping. End's up he want's to sit up like we do and look around at everybody & everything. It was cute, and parker just want's our full attention at the moment. We'll that's enough rambling for know....
  17. NoClueJoe66
We'll as the title says it was a crazy christmas. Parker had to have emergency surgery christmas morning, so we had a short lived christmas so to speak. It started on thursday when he started throwing up. We thought he had just got a little virus or something, but it turned into a very bad next few days. We had him at the clinic and they said it was acid reflux, then the hospital said it was a small virus. We took him for a third time to the hospital on christmas eve and I demanded something done immediately or they was gonna have a very bad christmas. They rushed him by ambulance to Childrens Medical center in knoxville, and they said the food was only setting on his stomach and not passing through his digestive system. They told us 1 out of 40 boys will have this problem. The surgery only took about 45 minutes, but man it kills you seeing your 1 month old son having an I.V. put in his little hand. Other than that though we got to spend our holiday together as a family. See Ya guys
  18. NoClueJoe66
That's right I've been a dad for 3 weeks today and lovin every minute of it. Other than a few sleepless nights and belly aches everything has been going great. We was pretty sad for the first couple of days because we found out paxton's left hip did not set up the right way. They told us if it didn't get better they would have to dislocate it then reset it. Man you talk about upset the only thing I could do was worry and cry. Good news though it won't have to be done, they had a follow up appointment and everything was fine. We've done figured out that paxton is daddy's baby and parker is mommies baby. When I get in from work paxton whines until I pick him up and only me. He likes to sleep right up against me in the bed. Parker on the other hand is momma's baby, but likes for daddy to love on him to. It seems like they have grown so much in such little time though it's unreal. They are up to 4 ounces a feeding now compared to the 1 1/2 ounces they was at after their birth. They seem to enjoy the sound still of daddy's truck, my wife says when I come home their eyes start wondering around trying to find me. We're also having problems with their new milk they put them on, their staying up longer from their stomach hurting and when they get to sleep they will wake up all of the sudden with this blood curlding scream. It got so bad one night they actually stayed up all night till they couldn't hold their eyes open any longer. Twins is a true blessing all around, a little more work, but still the best thing in the world. It's hard to believe that you can love 2 babies so much and you've only known the for 3 weeks, but I love them with all my heart. We'll guys gotta go and phone in to check on them. All this talking about them is making me miss them.
  19. NoClueJoe66
We'll guys they are both here safe and sound. They was born sunday evening. One was 5 pounds 11 ounces, the other was 5 pounds 2 ounces. Both are eating like little pigs and doing great. I ws wondering can some one send me their e-mail address so I can mail you the pictures to be posted up. I'm slow at learning this stuff and this computer is too slow for me to wait. Thanks JOE
  20. NoClueJoe66
Well I just got off the phone with my wife and they are fixing to transport her by ambulance to the hospital to monitor her. She's at the small in town hospital, but they want her over at Fort Sanders Medical center where she see's the specialist. I'm patiently, but nervously waiting for another gaurd to get here to relieve me. If you guys don't hear anything for a day or 2 it's because we are over there and there's limited internet access. Just keeping everyone updated and will continue when I can.
  21. NoClueJoe66
Well the doctor told us thursday that she's ready to go any minute. Meaning if she shows any kind of complication or anything they are gonna take them. So here we are setting around waiting just thinking about all the times we were alone at home nobody else to talk to, thinking any minute we could be runnin' to the hospital and coming home with 2 babies. We are definetly ready now, we have the car gassed up and packed ready to go at anytime, only thing I gotta do is put the car seats in and that's it. It's hard to believe how your life can change in just a few years. October 2003 was when we got married didn't have a care in the world I was 18 she was 17, and here we are 4 years later having babies. Time flies, because it just seemes like last month she was telling me the news. I remember the smile on her face and I could just picture mine in my head. Sorry to go on, but it's just crazy how the times fly by so quick. I'll keep everyone updated.
  22. NoClueJoe66
Well I'm setting here patiently waiting for the phone call from my wife saying it's time we gotta go and man my heart beats fast everytime I think about that. As I mentioned to other dog she's having contractions they are slow, but picking up a little at a time. We are both so anxious we can't sleep at night, but I'm sure that will wear off soon enough. Me and the misses have already picked out all kinds of stuff from the mack shop catalog for the boys so they will be riding in style. Just wanted to tell everybody I'm gonna share the pictures on the board when they are born, so stay tuned.
