Yair . . . No ianoz,I don't know that rig . . . I love the curve in the trailer. It would have been one of many such outfits that plied the trade in the out back. The truck has a "Federal" look about it, can't pick the tractor, it looks a little Allisy around the sprocket guard area. The scoop I think is an 18/20 yard LP. He's probably waiting for his missus to catch up . . . she'll have the Blitz towing the Britstand ripper and caravan. Cheers.

Yair . . . Bloody Hell! Thanks ianoz ! They are about the only ones I have of the old girl now . . . do you reckon the two rows of eight on the trailer might have been on their limit? I used to have a couple of the NR with the Jimmy on full song pulling the Toowoomba range with one of the first power-shift Allis twenty ones . . . but they seem to have gone missing. As I mentioned thanks for the responses, I'll go with about thirty grand for the story, I don't think anyone will pick me on that one. Cheers.

Yair . . . Hello folks. I thought I was on here. It all looked good but my newby post didn't appear when I came back to the site . . . I'll try again, here goes. I was directed here by the fellers at HEF. They reckoned there would maybe be some one on here who could give me some idea of the price in Brisbane Australia, of a new bogie-drive B61 in nineteen sixty-five. I need the information to maintain credibility for a 'trucking in the sixty's' love story I am writing. An indication of the cost of a bulk fuel tanker of the era would be handy too . . . I imagine they would have been two axle and eight or ten thousand imperial gallons? I have been out of the game for half a life time but used to move equipment with a standard rag-top NR and then we repowered with a 6-71. Eventually we got a B61 with the 237 (?) and triplex. I have some pictures over at HEF of her grossing out at around 150-170 thousand pounds but the site here does not want to let me post them . . . I'm not all that computer savvy. Anyway if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Cheers
