  1. I INSTALLED A NEW SLICER CLUTCH IN MY SUPERLINER LAST WINTER, HAVE ABOUT 35,000 MILES ON IT, SOME ON- ROAD, SOME OFF-ROAD PULLING LOWBOY, DUMP TRAILER, AND WATER TANKER FOR SWIMMIMG POOLS. RUNNING A 500 WITH A 12 SPD., CLUTCH IS SLIPPING ON HARD PULLS. I TRIED TO ADJUST IT TO SPICER SPECS- .500 CLEARANCE BETWEEN THROUGH-OUT BEARING AND CLUTCH BREAK BUT DID NOT HELP. CLUTCH PEDAL DOES NOT HAVE A FIRM FEELING TO IT WHEN YOU START TO PUSH IT DOWN, SEEMS TO ME LIKE THE PROBLEM IS IN THE PRESSURE PLATE. EVERYTHING WORKED FINE UP TO ABOUT A MONTH AGO WHEN IT NEEDED AN ADJUSTMENT BECAUSE OF LACK OF FREEPLAY IN THE PEDAL. ANY HELP?
  2. I did my e-7 400 over, had pump turned up, superflow injectors, and a 427 turbo, truck puts out 460HP and runs around 205 on a hard pull, you could not believe the difference in power. This truck is mechanical, no computer!
  3. I've run Lucas in my v-8 since i rebuilt it, no problems, also run lucas fuel treatment in the winter and have not had a freeze up. I'm going to try the red and tacky grease on my machines next to see how it holds up under pressure and heat.
  4. If anyone is looking for a 1959 cabover mack, one is for sale on online trader, single axle for $2600, located in CA. Look up heavy trucks, then macks. TRUCK LOOKS TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE.
  5. LOCATED BRACKET DEALER, WEB SITE IS WWW.EZGRIP.COM, WORKS GREAT FOR SITE WORK TRUCKS.
  6. I run my e-9 500+ every day, I rebuilt it 2 years ago (20,000 miles) had the pump turned up, burns no oil, loaded or not. Runs like a v-8, lots of black smoke when hard on the throttle!
  7. I have the hook and loops on the flaps already, they work fine if you can get the drivers to let go of the steering wheel and get out of the truck to hook them up, but on jobs when your dumping 20 or more loads a day, drivers get lazy. I saw a truck once with brackets spring loaded that the bracket does not move, its bolted right to the truck solid. You use just a small pipe about 18 inches long to open the clamp and then you slide the flap in. If you do forget to look in the mirror and do back into a pile the flap just pulls out and can be put right back in. I check the local mack shop and they never heard of them.
  8. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO BUY MUD FLAPS HOLDERS FOR DUMP TRUCKS THAT HOLD THE FLAPS WITH SPRING PRESSURE SO IF YOU BACK INTO A PILE, THE FLAP PULLS OUT WITHOUT DAMAGE AND CAN PUT BACK INTO PLACE QUICKLY. ALSO LOOKING TO BUY CHROME BULLDOGS THAT GO ON TOP OF ROOKIE RODS, [GUIDE STICKS] WHERE DO YOU BUY THEM? THANKS FOR ANY HELP.
