Thanks Billy. Yeah he is devastated about it. He put a lot of time and money into it.

Its funny, you sorta become "mates" with your truck, or car, you give them names etcetera.

  2. Timmy b, you saw that episode where they rolled the "hemi under glass" briefly I wondered if they "staged" that, but I don't think so,that car's too valuable plus the dude that owns it has to be pushing80 yrs old too much chance of serious injury  of him and Jay! Have you seen the videos of that car running from the 70's? It has  a Plexiglas window on the drivers floor so he can see the track when he's  doing those 6 foot  wheelstands ! I actually owned a65 barracuda. Paid 25 bucks for it! Had a slant six automatic.the only way it'd do a wheelstand is if you jacked up the front end!,

Hi Billy. Yeah it's an impressive car! It mustn't have much of a tail shaft, id imagine the diff bolts to the back of the gearbox!

The slant 6 that Chrysler had wasn't anything to sneeze at. For a long time here in Aus the fastest production car made was a 265 hemi with triple Webber carburettors on it.

      It continually says upload failed.

I have some pics ready to send you.

Apparently the boss has spoken to Gleemans to get an idea of how much it's worth. So he might be asking more like $6,000 now. Anyway, it's there is you need it.

Status update. I'm waiting to hear from my mates boss but his mechanic reckons $4,000 will get the cab. An $1,000 to transport to Brisbane. I got some pics but it won't let me upload them for some reason?

G'day Steve. Welcome to Big Mack Trucks.

I grew up in Port Macquarie just a few hours south of you. It beautiful country over there!

This cab is in really good condition, no rust except a little bit in the bottom of the passenger door. It's at my mates work. I spoke about buying it before for the door but ended up buying two new ones.

What prices are you thinking for the cab? It's a speculative question, I think Gleemans want close to 10 for a complete cab. I reckon you could get this one for 4. Maybe less if you didn't want the doors.

      Cheers, Tim
