Sorry I didnt write down any prices. Mr Hancock i dont know what you look like or i would have said hi. I have seen you on this board with great input for quite a few years now. I think quite a few trucks and parts went to my town also as Daryl Gushee seemed to be buying a lot.

Yes I went. Picked up a old DM800. Dont quite know what i got till i get it home But the double frame was excellent with no spread , 65k rears, mack motor and trans. Over all the prices were dirt cheap in my opinion. Tons of mack trucks over a hundrred. Most sold bor $250 - $1500. I paid $950 for the DM. There we a lot of Mack people Ive seen over the years there trying to grab what they could. It was a nice day and lots of deals.

Vlad , congratulations ! I will never be sad again to see a Mack get exported from the US. I didn't take into consideration there are other people in this world that love Macks. Have fun with it !

He also has a mint Superliner Dump I will put pics of that also. Just previewed post looks like it worked.

Does anyone remember the "Howard Johnsons" along the Maine turnpike? They had fuel and restraunt , as a kid I thought they were good.

I don't see this dump on Truckpaper. Is it sold?

Don't get to many truck stops , but will as we are going to start hauling a little freight. I did get to the I-80 truck stop last year with my daughter while we took a cross country trip. Very impressive for sure! Here is a pic of inside with my daughter standing in front of a truck on display in the accessories shop .
If anyone gets up to Maine , Dysarts Truck Stop off of 95 near Bangor is a great place to eat and buy goodies for the truck. doug

The Volvo wasn't what I wanted for sure , but im blaming it on my wife.
Heres why , a few months ago I found a 98 CH613 a nice heavy tractor with a 7000 gallon stainless tanker , JUST WHAT I WANTED! I am not a dickering man and if I want something I buy it without much negotiating. So I am headed out of the shop one day and tell my wife I am headed up to buy this Mack in the next town over. On the way out she says "talk him down ! don't pay full price like you always do!"
So after being ridiculed I get to the truck look it all over for the 3rd time and I want it. Mistake number one , I offer him $2k less than he is asking. He says I will take it but I have to call my partner and see what he says and I will call you tonight. SO the next day he hasn't called and I call him. He says we sold it for full asking price a couple of hrs after you looked at it. THATS why I don't negotiate and will not again! If you see something you need and want, don't screw around dickering over a few thousand dollars, just pay the damn price and get it to work.

Heres a few pics I found of my OL' Yellow. 1st is hauling some new JCB mini equipment to a Home Depot where they were going to rent them out. I don't think Home Depot rents minis anymore? 2nd pic is hauling a burnt skidder. I spent all day dragging this out of the woods for a guy with my dozer then hauled to another state. All in all I had quite a few hundred miles involved and two days work only to not get paid ! Guy stiffed me. 3rd pic is a old Christmas card with my Mack CH and kids. 4th pic im embarrassed to show here but just picked up this Volvo cheap to make some local runs with . Brought it in shop yesterday to take the lettering off it. doug

Im looking for some pics of dual pipes on one side. Anyone have one to share?
-
I have one truck now with side pipe down low. Were working right around the back of truck and sometimes its kinda fumey. I may make dual pipes on one side like the Conforti truck?

felicell0122 - Im taking one stack off because the chrome tips are wobbly and need replacement anyways and I noticed on the tank both sides had black soot and I thought it would be easier to just have to clean one side. And lastly I am backing in driveways of all shapes and sizes and most times there is branches on trees in the way so I don't feel like breaking a stack off or having them snag the branches. If it was a tractor I would definitely keep them.
