  2. Went to my friends to take a pic of a Bucyrus Erie 15B cable shovel to put on another forum. As i walked around the back side of Jims barn I noticed two school busses missing and that opened a veiw to a portable garage with a old truck in it. As I walked towards it I saw the name on the grill and about dropped a load in my pants. Jim said its one of the last Macks his father had (George Humphrey). It is a 1928 Mack AB , I am told. Here are some pics , I hope they come through , they are from my camera phone. doug
  3. My favorite dozer that i wish i had back was a old Case 350 I completely repainted it , recovered seat, new stainless steel exhaust pipe, new hydraulic hoses, cutting edges , and other engine work. It was a awesome small dozer. Heres a pic of my current dozer D3G . Sorry cant get resized .
  4. yes , would be nice to restore. I told a guy he could have a door he needed and I came home to see he took both . I towed this off my neighbors land, he wanted it gone. I dont have the hood or fenders. The complete engine is in the dump body. Prolly toasted. Would like to sell it for someone to restore.
  5. I hope like heck will come back around with toughness they are known for. Time will tell. What ever happened to the intial Mack Company to lead up to Volvo buying them?
  6. Heck that slip that into low gear and walk it out.
  7. Good luck with your search , hope you find one. doug
  8. OOPS! I had started another thread on this , sorry did see this one. I think the truck came out alright..... except for some of the mods. The train set is a complete waste , and the color baby blue in the sleeper was weird. Still looked cool when done. Different strokes for different folks.
  9. Did anyone see the show Trick my Truck? I watched it last night and it had a 1964 Mack B-61 that they re-built. It had a sleeper and was purple.
  10. Beautiful truck and story John! I could read history about old trucks and contractors all day long. Thanks for the story. Doug
  11. cml - I dont know how it was done. But i had my drivers side windshield replaced on a CH. So you shouldnt have to do the whole thing. doug
