  1. I know of a guy that's a broker at J&A that got by a train trying to beat the gates...and was back at work the next day with another trailer...only here in Chicago!
  2. you might have to back the slack adjuster off. If the shoes are inside the drum it might not come off?
  3. I think the tow yard is, or was, or still is Schimka towing, or something like that
  4. apparently everyone thinks red paint costs too much. a friend works at k5, everything is supposed to white from now on, looks like ozinga thinks that too.
  5. Eric at chicagoland wheel polishing does them on a machine and they look like new when they're done. Its pretty amazing how they turn out. Last set I took him were rough, he charged $50 a wheel. Well worth it, I thought
  6. a friend of mine got a E-Pak steel trailer. looks nice. haven't really had a chance to look it over, but he's pretty particular about his stuff
  7. that's right...if I look up one craftsman tool on sears...all the ads on ebay are for sears...and on my wifes facebook too!
  8. if anyone's interested in looking at that superliner, now it's out on new ave in lemont where you turn into central salt FYI
  9. last time I saw it, it was parked in a spot on the road to IMTT in lemont, down from K5, not at the PFA yard
  10. mine is set up right just like petermack's for off road...even my fat ass on a creeper can fit under the tanks
  11. not exactly sure what my wheelbase is... but it is almost identical to the one you are looking at. we dig foundations and haul stone all day long back to jobsites - no problem
  12. $40k seems high to me, I didn't even pay that for my 01 4 years ago, but that one seems a lot cleaner than mine
  13. I have a 378 on air with a 22 ft steel hilbilt on springs. I really think the trailer makes the difference. I had an air ride Fruehauf before and that was nice. the spring ride trailer will make the pete feel like your mack. If you're trying to make the ride better, I'd get the air ride trailer first. Especially if you like the truck. just my 2 cents
  14. if you are looking for steers, todd at tredroc in Romeoville has the general s360 11r22.5 for $320 each...which comes out to about $400 each balanced with new valve stems installed. seems like a pretty good price. truck looks good!
  15. just a few off the phone, not sure what happened to the last one. the palumbo tractor looks sharp
  16. you get what you pay for nice sharpie lettering job, especially the door handle cutout and this is my competition
  17. this 2001 Volvo is not any good for turning left. he just had to make the light at the end of the ramp...ooppps. ended up on its side on the guardrail. the non English speaking driver only cared about if we could deliver the load after we unloaded his destroyed 2015 trailer
  18. the only thing that stopped him from putting it on its side is the trailer sitting on the passenger tires
  19. I am a firm believer in the saying "you get what you pay for"
