I've got almost that exact same pic on my phone from about 3 years ago when Willbros had Michaels come bore a 42" line under the MS river at Helena. I was hauling for Willbros, which is non union, and they sent me over to Michaels, which is union, to haul cuttings away. When those guys found out I wasn't in the teamsters, they sent me and my little red R model packing. Oh well, that stuff was nasty anyway. lol
Haha. My dad was asked if he had a book and my dad handed them a truck magazine.
-
That looks like a problem.
-
I saw this truck pulling a load out of Laydon one day.
-
Looks like an old fire truck with all the aluminum and gold pinstripe and lights on roof.
-
Nice trucks!
-
All the logtrucks down here are R-models and CL's with a pete and kw here and there
-
If it the same one i'm thinking of it is the old teamsters truck. my dads friend bought it and painted the frame and put the straight pipe on it and then sold it. if i remember right its and ex-O&G truck
-
Did that come from CT?
-
Yeah its even better with sound
-
You never know what your gonna see. Kinda like last night i saw Blakeslee Arpaia's big tractor and trailer moving a BIG excavator drill thingy through town
-
Yep that would be our 43yr old 24ft Fruehauf
-
15 years later, i think im a little bigger now. haha

There was guy up here that use to sell recycle and it used to be worth it to buy a load just for the scrap metal inside it. Suzio crushes the leftover concrete from their trucks and that stuff gets rock hard when it gets wet and compacted
-
We just call it recycle. Everybody and their brother are crushing it now. Their doing over the Q-Bridge on 95 and O&G is using all recycle.
-
Tilcon up here just bought a couple brand new CATs.They made a huge pile of 3/8 stone for a huge paving job and somebody undercut their bid just before the job started.
-
My dads buddy use to own that truck. Ex-O&G they donated it to the teamsters and then he got it
-
I bet it will look even better when you done
-
Whats better than 3 U-models at once!
-
It was hiding at Tilcon's plant in Newtown from the owner of Hi Ho D'Addario with a spun bearing in the motor. A month later it was painted and running got on the highway and realized it went slow! It only went 52mph. Ran it for a year and then changed ring and pinions in the rears. Hauled a lot of stone out of Suzio with it and use it as a site truck later in wallingford.

I think it is a gas turbine prototype made. I saw a superliner one somewhere once too
