  1. Well took advantage of the lack of winter and unfrozen ground. Cut down all the trees and brush and removed stumps, have two burn piles made ready to burn when I get time this weekend.
  2. I have Life-Time 18 gauge stainless corrugated fenders on my truck, they where about $800 for the set when I got them 2 yrs ago. They are one piece and I already had the brackets on the truck. A nice quality fender and they look sharp when all polished.
  3. LMAO,,,,Well I guess Maddog13407 you are really going not like mine it was painted red like the outside.
  4. Your truck looks great with the work you have shown. It is your truck you are the one who drives it and enjoys it and are adding your personality to it and that is great. The fact you took the time to go to the lengths you have gone to is to be appreciated by others who have restored trucks here and in a way we all add our touch to them. My B-61 has the same color inside because ( sorry to purists) I hated that green, the rest of the interior is correct as is the rest of the truck.
  5. Nice job in putting all that history into a nic chronological order.,,,,,,,Thanks
  6. I have no issue with the 3406B in mine, just found the anallogy funny.
  7. Will look into the radiant heat , like you guys said at least put the tubing in. Thanks for the idea!!
  8. The cost on my 30'x30' non insulated from Morton is $35,000 the foundation and slab are $9,800 and electrify and light fixtures another $4,500. All the site work I am doing. Morton is including the automatic doors also.
  9. We are heading back out on to the golf course to do more tree removals and some drainage work. My prediction will be the golfers back out to play mid-March,,,,,of course when I am on vacation. Any other winter we are snow covered and working on equipment and plowing snow!! Picture of last winter and this winter.
  10. It sounds like a start, the New CEO realizes that the individual brands should stand on there own, I see this as a positive for Mack to grow and maybe expand its offerings. It would be nice to see all operations back in Allentown but that wont happen.
  11. Is it my imagination or are bumpers so cheap on the new trucks that they have to add a bumper to the front bumper to protect it. I have seen the moose catchers around here for years, always on the trucks coming down from up North or Canada but now it seems every Volvo, Pete, Freightliner and International has them on them. I guess that either says the bumpers suck or the drivers do,,,Just my observation,,,lol.
  12. Thanks for all the thoughts on the barn, I right now store the truck in doors for a fee of course, but I go in an out of his 10' doors with no issue or having to move mirrors. The real reason for that size was to get the style door she wanted, which added 1,500 to each door. The barn will have a Cupola on it, and have a different color all the way around it like a wainscot 4' ft from the ground around the whole thing, I do plan to insulate it but that will be a year or so after its done. I went for the full 5' concrete wall instead of the poured tubes they could of done it with. The trucks will fit in nicely the B model is only 22' long and the Super is 25' so room to walk around and plenty of room between the trucks. PC I like your barn similar doors on mine with windows at the top and a crossbuck pattern like a barn door on them, will be green steel panel roof and all trim and white sides and a 4 green wainscot all the way around. Mine is similar to this picture in color and with a different door set up and my entry door and windows are on the side.
  13. Just signed the paper work today to build a 30'x30' Morton building to put the Superliner in and the B-61 when I get her back from Mack museum. Wanted to go bigger but at that size I only need to go to the building inspector for a permit and the keeps the neighbors at bay. I live in a residential neighborhood so trying to avoid issues. Barn will have 14 foot ceiling and two 10'x12' overhead doors that will look like barn doors that's the wife's request ,,,,lol
  14. What Mack location is in Boston or Lowell Ma, I only know of McDevitt in Tewksbury and Manchester NH which I use for my truck parts and have great luck using. I know for service have used Assebet Mack in the past.
  15. Some more trucks at John Haines, the green Super is a new one for Gary Mahan to restore that Tackerberry hauled down.
  16. We got In to our restoration of our B-61 and with high hopes, 10 years later we took it to its first show. we can never sell the truck for what we are into it for but that's fine, we enjoy it and that's what matters. There are two types of restorations to me, the first original condition all made mechanically sound and fun to drive with no worries and then there is the total frame off restoration that you can drive and enjoy but never get your money back out of. They are booth fun to there respective owners and that's the beauty, restoration is all individual and the cost associated wide and varied. Every person has there percieved value of what a vehicle is to them
  17. He may not get the 95,000 figure but I would think he will be north of 65,000 The last two that sold up here where the white Super from Maine that Gary Mahan picked up and that was sold in a week for almost 50,000 and there was the one at Fords auction in NH this summer that went for stupid money. Knowing what I paid for mine and have into it, nice to see there values going up and there is a big market for them right now and collectors are buying them up. More power to him if he finds a buyer I say.
  18. It's unfortunate that Cat never made a run at Mack, could of been an interesting fit two American icons under one roof, and Cat has deep pockets.
  19. Thanks Doug, figured as much, want to go down and see the Evil collection, it looks interesting. Is the museum open on Saturday to be viewed. Jack
  20. Have to take a ride down to see it. Wonder if that means they parked my truck outside,,,,,,lol
  21. Doing a nice job, look forward to the assembled final truck.
  22. I have my dogs facing out and they where that way when I got the truck. But would be curious on the correct placement.
