  1. The production list lists three of them built until 1990, the R686R, R688R and R690R. I don't know what the last R is for. 1990 was also the last year for the RD.
  2. If you can't buy it, build it. Get some small lights. Buy a regular bulldog and poke its eyes out. I just skimmed over this, but it seems more complicated than it has to be. https://jalopnik.com/238353/if-you-cant-buy-it-build-it-wanky-the-safety-cat
  3. Have you asked the dealer? If the guy owed them money, they probably did service work on the truck. They may have all the service records and someone there could have a good idea of what is wrong with the truck.
  4. The Superliner would have caused a decline in sales and models. There were probably few sold in the last years.
  5. R747, 754, 767 and 770 are listed through 1985. Almost all of the others didn't go past the 70's.
  6. Probably a DMM - a DM with a driving front axle. For pics Google Mack DMM and select Images.
  7. I wouldn't think the residents would generate much trash.
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that is done on multi position motor controlling switches to aid the motor. It is better for the durability of the motor to start at full power.
  9. That would be a good thing for someone who has a Dodge race car. Larry needs an H model Ford.
  10. They appear to be White's - unless Mack used the same cab or one nearly identical - which I have never heard of. Further down the line it appears some of them have the wings on front that were on some of that model White.
  11. It looks like Russia's version of a DUKW (Duck).
  12. A C-model with a sleeper! - and looks to be in very good condition. A good candidate for a restoration.
  13. That could be. The second line is - "INC. VEHICLE MFD. BY KENWORTH TRUCK CO." Must have been some kind of a combination.
  14. That is what I wondered. If it happened after the dampener was replaced, is there something wrong with the dampener or the way it was done? When watching the dampener/pulleys when the motor is running, is there any noticable wobble, out of round, or back and forth movement? The strange thing is, every time something is done to the truck it is okay for a while - and they are unrelated repairs.
  15. If you were only getting 3.8 miles per gallon, there was likely unburned fuel/soot in the exhaust.
  16. It just proves she is very good if she didn't have to slam it in the door.
  17. Phase 1

    Work boots

Russell's are hand made in Wisconsin - and expensive. If anything on them ever wears out, send them back and they will repair/replace whatever is worn. http://www.russellmoccasin.com/
  18. Snout to Snout. Great picture of two generations.
