  2. WOW.........Did they come a long way in 1934 in comparison to my 1925 White
  3. If it is worth anything - my B42 is also foot activated on the firewall. I typically use one foot on the starter - and the other on the gas.
  4. 6 speed is correct. I have it listed on Cleveland Craiglist under heavy equipment with plenty of photos. As you will see, the price on C/L is slightly higher.
  5. I have been running one large 12 volt in my B42- and never have had any problems.

Overall good condition for its age. 865 V-8 325 HP motor that fires right up. 4.17 ratio with 44k rears. Camelback suspension. Recent work completed includes the installation of rear mud flaps, and the repair of all lighting including headlamps, brake lamps, turn signals etc. Very rare/unique unit as only 103 were produced.   12. Getting ready to put rear lights on the 73 - U795 but was wondering if anybody has a wiring schematic. Need to install tail lights etc. and any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't have much experience in vehicle lighting. Thanks in advance.
  13. Felicello - That is exactly what is happening as it most certainly making a clicking sound when I turn the ignition on. I appreciate the feedback from all. Mark
  14. Ok - figured out the starting problem, had a bad solenoid. I think it is an ignition solenoid but just not sure. It is located on the firewall right in front of the steering wheel. Replaced it and seems to be working okay as it is starting properly. But - I still don't have any power to any gauges, lights, etc. I found that there is another solenoid right at the fuse box area and was wondering if this might be it - or is there a in-line fuse somewhere that I am overlooking. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  15. To all; Thank you for your help. Did some research this weekend and found out it is the solenoid on the driver side firewall. Had the brother in law over to help and he by-passed it with a heavy gauge wire and it fired right up. Ran great but still didn't have any power to the lights, gauges, etc. Is it fair to assume this solenoid is bad and what is the technical term for it. New to the game and just trying to make sure I purchase the correct part. The solenoid in question is right below the bus gallery for all of the truck wiring. Thanks again..................Mark
  16. To all - thanks for the feedback. I know for fact that they are/were connected properly as I have previously taken photos and even marked the cables as to what cable is positive and negative when I first got it. At this point I think it is a battery problem - but will push on to get an answer. Thanks again.............Mark
  17. Have a problem with the U795. Put the batteries in it about a month ago and had no problem getting it running. After I had it running I pulled the batteries and placed them inside so I could keep a charge on them Yesterday I reinstalled the batteries and I can't get the thing to even turn over. The batteries are not the best but my charger shows them taking a decent charge (thinking enough to at least turn it over). On top of it I am not getting any juice to get any of the lights to illuminate. Not sure what the problem is as I have not done anything to the truck (mechanically) since I had it running last month. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance................Mark

  19. Dam!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was so cold that day that the rattle can froze up and I couldn't get the acceptable forms of payment covered. Larry..................yes I am going to make every attempt to get it to Ashland this year with the B model. It was a pleasure to meet you last year during the "slowest truck" competition. I thought I had a pretty good chance with the B42. Thanks to all for your interest.

  21. Kickstand not required............I only put fuel in the passenger side tank as a counterweight.

  23. Yes it is a six speed w/ 24.5's. Really like the direct six speed as it is lot easier transmission to work vs. the duplex in my B42. Again..........thanks in advance

Vinny..........I will most definitely give this one a good home - as I just recently built an outbuilding to get it out of the weather.\ Also to anyone who could help.........Does anybody know what kind of top speed I could expect with this unit (4.17 rear). Haven't really driven it down the road yet - but am interested in what to expect. Thanks in advance..............Mark
