  1. Bathroom bathroom bathroom! Nothing fancy but I would make sure you put in a stand up shower stall as well for those days when you are a complete mess. Keeps the wife happy. a fridge for libations. If you plumb in metal air lines make sure you have several connections outside around the building. Consider a loft to store parts, small equipment, dead hookers etc off the floor and out of the way. Under it can be the couch/TV/poker area. Or flip it and put the parts below and mancave above so you have a birds eye view of the shop. Shelving is also very important. HD steel or make your own from wood. The box store shelves don't hold up with heavy pieces well. WIFI and laptop - you never know when you need to search the net for info/parts Stripper pole
  2. I'm arriving Friday morning. I think Sandy and I are meeting her childhood friend for dinner that night. She now lives in Easton. Subject to change of course. The Flatbed is 80% now. Good enough for the show. Just need to final buff the paint and polish the bed rails. Last thing to do it road test it. Woohoo!
  3. In case anyone missed my other post here in truck shows my wife worked out a deal with Windgate hotel for people going to the show for a $119 rate (normal rate was 159 and discount $135). For more info read my other post. Hotel is on Hamilton BLVD near i78. Less than 5 miles from the park.
  4. My wife used to work for Hotels years ago so she knows all the tricks. If any if you need a room for the Macungie show, she got us a special room rate of $119 a night for folks coming out to the show. When you call let them know you are coming out for the truck show in Macungie and they will give you the discounted rate. It's a new hotel with nice rooms, a pool, hot tub, and free breakfast. Windgate by Wyndham 4325 Hamilton Blvd Rt 78/309 & rt 222 Allentown, PA 18103 610-366-1600 She spoke with Theresa in reservations. This is 10 minutes / 4.6 miles away from Memorial Park. We are staying Friday night. See you all there!

  6. Randy is right. That's just a standard issue NYPD wrecker unit in the city.
  7. Definitely two tone. That looks so much better than the orange. That's one sweet truck
  8. This sticker is in the window. I looked at it today. I posted pictures in another post.
  9. Is anyone going to the Macungie show June 19-20 with room on their trailer to haul my 84 GMC General there and back to Lakewood NJ 08701? If all goes well I'll have it up and running within the next two weeks but I do not have confidence in the truck to drive it there. I've missed bringing it the last two years and I dont want to miss showing it this year. PM me if you are available to do it. Of course I will be happy to cover expenses. Thank you.
  10. Is anyone going from the Central Jersey area with a trailer with room to bring my General? I am hoping to get it running before the show but I do not have faith it can make the drive. I will be happy to share expenses to haul it there and back. If all goes well my Rollback will be in attendance. Next week I am replacing the calipers so that should be ready.
  11. Coming back from Moms day lunch I spotted this crusty girl for sale on the side of the road. After dropping my mother-in-law off I "convinced" my wife to go back so I can take pictures. It's actually a very restorable truck. There is some rust on the cab corners and roof but the floors seemed solid. Not sure of the engine info but it's a Duplex trans. I didn't get to check it out completely since we had to go but if anyone is interested I can go back if needed. I'm tempted myself but with limited funds and the General still needing attention I think it's better off going to qualified hands. No price listed but I have a phone number that was on a sticker on the side window that may or may not be the seller.
  12. Thanks for sharing. I have to get the General up and running again.
  13. Mike, my condolences to you and your family. I am a 1990 Holmdel alumni and a friend of mine lived several houses down from the nursery. I never met your brother but being a member of the Mack family, he is one of us. Please give my deepest sympathies to your family. I hope you continue to show his truck in his honor.
  14. Wow, $20 for onion rings? That highway robbery! The facebook post is moving fast. Hard to keep up. The menu is expanding rapidly.
  15. Paul, Sorry to hear. I know a couple that were ready to split after many years of being together, the husband suggested couples therapy. That was several years ago and now he says his marriage has never been stronger. Perhaps this might work for you guys too. Good luck and I hope this may work for you.
  16. I took this picture and sent it to a couple clients of mine who were drag racers back in the day and were fixtures at eTown, Atco and island. Ill see if they recognize it and let you know.
  17. After sitting in that green b61 behind Gerharts I realized a B model won't fit my gut.
  18. You'll need a nice set of ramps to ride up into the trailer. I will have my flatbed this year and hopefully the General. I can always help you get it out with the rollback if you need.
  19. I sold a 67 Hemi GTX to a guy about 8 years ago. Really nice restored car. It just sits in a climate controlled garage and gets taken out maybe once a year. A lot of money to spend for a garage ornament. Sad thing is he has several cars like that.
  20. At least you are keeping it all Mopar. More reliable too. Hell with the price of resto mods these days, it might improve the value. I want a ride when you get it done. PS - the caddy white with the gold will be sharp.
  21. Paul, I appreciate what you are doing but those cars are so rare, I think it should be left stock. Prices are starting to climb on them. One last year sold fully restored for $62k. Still, what a great car to do resto mod with. Big and comfortable yet power!
