  1. Oh and one tube of that grease will last you awhile, I usually do 5 trucks with one tube. Since they are sealed roller bearings, all u really have to do is smear a little on the spindle.
  2. I don't know about an equivalent for the grease, but I can tell you that it is a heavy white lithium based grease, brand name Gleitmo. As grease goes, it's astronomically expensive. As far as the nut, they say replace the nut because they come with per applied thread locker on them, at least all the ones I have replaced have.
  3. When u flip the lever, ushould hear air exhaust from the slave valve on the trans, if no air then it's not the synchro. Also, sometimes the pinch bolt in the range fork will back out and let the fork slip on the shaft. U can take the back shift top off to inspect for this, or drain trans and remove rear pot cover and inspect that way
  4. Engine oil cooler is not that big a deal to repair/replace, fairly common. On the trans, it's not necessarily got to be the synchro assy. Could b slave valve, or range cylinder vent stopped up or gummed up. Does it try to shift range at all?
  5. Bad about losing contact in low pressure switch on the dryer
  6. The fxl came from Volvo, they have actually used that design for years as their proprietary axle
  7. What year truck? Engine oil cooler or trans oil cooler? What kind of trans? Mack, fuller, Rockwell?
  8. What year truck? Engine oil cooler or trans oil cooler? What kind of trans? Mack, fuller, Rockwell?
  9. Could be any of a number of things, improper installation, excessive engine vibration, worn main bearings, etc. u sure it's the seal, not a cracked flywheel housing?
