Back in the early 80s, a few of us Buster Browns were running meadowland's NJ at night out of Albany NY. We kept running into this Smith driver turning Saratoga . We devised a plan to steel his horse shoe one night and I would mount it to my F model for the ultimate lucky charm. Well we all chickened out and I never got my lucky horse shoe, sure would like to have one, it would look good on my gate out here in Wyoming. Rifleman

Always wondered what that horse shoe was made out of, Rifleman

Is that Fred Bochamps old F model

All are MHs were 5 speeds, no power steering and no AC till the early 90s. We didn't get power steering till we got the CHs. Sounds like we worked for the same outfit. There is a nice article on me and my MH in this months Bulldog magazine. Rifleman

Thanks Tim, this truck was actually given to me from Osborne Trucking when I traded a gun for the 46 Dodge COE, they knew it was going to a good home. Been working on redoing the brakes. Rifleman

I'll bet our paths have crossed somewhere, Its good to see ABF still going. My wife is going to retire in May so we can travel more. I would like to make the teamsters picnic and the retire Christmas party witch is tonight, haven't seen many of them old guys since I left, sure do miss them.

We sure did, within two months we sold our house in Clifton Park and moved to Cody Wyoming, you know any 294 guys

If any body knows a retiring driver I would highly recommend doing something like this for them, It was huge for me, I wanted to hang it in the living room

Anybody know what ever happened to all those PIE trucks, sure like to have one

That was my biggest truckin challenge, pulling that 7 mile grade up Sylvan pass, wish I had a bigger truck

Mike just saw your post from May, It's a 48, 306 H. It runs good, took it to Yakima. Working on getting brakes on her now. Tom Warren and Tom Jr. from Amarillo Texas have been a great help with parts and info. Rifleman

Nice looking F model. Put a lot of miles on them for UPS when I started in 75 till they stopped making them. They weren't the warmest truck in the winter. We really though we had something when they come out with the 300 from the 237, It was tough pulling double 40s with them. Would like to get some specs. on your truck, good luck with it, Rifleman

Nice job, I drove a H once back in the 70s. UPS in Syracuse NY still had one on the road, used it for a back up. I took it to retrive my tail trailer at X35, drove as good as my F, Rifleman
