  1. Yes Vlad, You are correct, as I had told Vinny I had a second choice in life to fall back on when my trucking business collapsed back in 1972. Was glad I went to engineering school right out of high school, however, if I did have it to do over again, would have went to business school also. Me giving a hand out in the shop last week when one of my men was out that day. Paul
  2. Hi Loadstar, What a nice truck, good luck, Paul
  3. Thank You, I'll let you know how I make out, Paul
  4. Hi Loadstar, I may be moving a truck up from Northern Jersey to SE Mass in next few weeks also. I have a quote for $1,200.00, is that about right? Thanks, Paul
  5. THANKS, THIS WAS A SLEEPER, ALL SQUARE CONSTRUCTION
  6. Hi Mike, I have no pictures of it but do remember there was trouble with it because either the block was aluminum, the head or both, forgot that was 51 years ago, LOL
  7. Thanks Ben, I did own a Cab Over GMC single axle tractor with a 873 (I believe that was the model engine) back in 1961. Been only Macks after that, with the exception of one White Mustang single axle dump and a DC103 Autocar twin screw dump. But as I have explained on here before I have been in the Tool & Die business sinse 1972 after ceasing my trucking operation. Best Regards, Paul
  8. Yes 16 plus the 14 B81's (of which 3 B81's that I sold are still working on the Cape today hauiling asphalt and feeding a crusher, one being a 1956). What happened is that I got sick, brought partners in and over extended the business, lost it all by the time I was 26. Then went into my present business which has been very successful.
  9. Thanks, Vinny, I owned 12 B81's and 16 DM800's at one time, but favored the B81's, this was back in the late 60's. I like you're U Model, you must be really excited about it. Paul
  10. WOW Stay focused Vinny. I am actually a Tool & Die Designer and also a Toolmaker by trade. I was in the trucking business 45 years ago and I am just collecting a few vintage ones now as you never really get away from trucks when its in you're blood. I am under a lot of pressure running my machine shop so trucks help to forget the day to day problems. Again, stay focused and always have another secondary choice in life to fall back on. Best Regards, Paul
  11. Hi, you're name is Vinny, how old? We never hear a lot about the good kids in the news, nice to know that there are still a lot out there who know what they are interested in and doing it, very cool. Attached, very old picture I found of my first truck I bought when I was 18, 1952 Dodge dump with a big Chrysler industial engine in it and air brakes.Paul

  13. Hi, I think keep the green, but the under carraige, frame, engine, transmission, axles, springs, etc should be candy apple red, thats what im going to do with my B81 Dump. Single headlights too.
  14. Hello, You're doing a great job. I don't know if I have the ambition to do the same with my B81 at my age. I may just have to be satisfied with pleasing me, which is very hard to do btw. Paul
  15. Hello, I owned 28 Mack B81 & DM 800'S back in the 60's and even though \I am in the Tool & Die business, still love trucks. Paul Roncetti
