  1. Pedigred engine and tranny installed some years ago by a local hiway department with low mileage since then .My brother works for this department, drove and did some of the maintenance on this truck. The drive line is very good but will need a clutch. Two stick transmission with the top loader rear ends -not a camelback. Frame and cab are VERY rusty,no title but can be driven around my yard. Hood is good. Pictures available Asking $ 2750. Also have another Mack tranny and single axle front loader rear end from a mid 60's Mack semi tractor available.Located near Green Bay Wisconsin - Phone 920 845 2908 e mail cny81677@centurytel.net

  3. Mr Moderator and Mr. Bullhusk, I have been trying to send both of you personal messages about the R600, I do have close up pics of the dash, along with many pics of truck. Steamguy
  4. From Steamguy. Yes I am a newbie here but I guess with my online name I should reply. The steamroller does indeed look english, the smokestack is missing-should be just just forward of the roof. For anyone interested in getting some steam experience there are a number of " Steam Schools " held throughout the east and central parts of the US. I have personal experience with three of them.I would be glad to provide additional information on this VERY interesting and " DIRTY " hobby. Steamguy
  5. This truck was bought used in 1981 by a local hiway department. It had a 676 Pedigreed engine and updated Maxidine transmission installed in 1982. It is a small county with one lowboy trailer and small road construction crew. Truck was not used in winter after its purchase in 1981 but has a very rusty cab and rear frame assembly from its previous owner. The truck was retired about 10 years ago,and is run and driven in our yard yearly. My brother is a mechanic and driver at this hiway department and we believe that this engine and tranny have less than 10,000 miles on them, some of the Pedigreed Blue paint is still on engine and tranny. The radiator and fiberglas hood are also in good condition. It has 34,000 top loader spoker rear ends. It is not road worthy but can be driven around our yard. I would be willing to part it out after purchaser hears and drives it. I have an additional Mack transmission and 6 spoke rear end which have been sitting for some years. I have digital pictures in e mail sized files for all of these units.I tried craigs list ( tired of the scammers and scrappers ) and REALLY REALLY do not want to mess with e bay. Looks like a lot of good people here on a great site.Located near Green Bay ,Wisconsin, looking for best offer.
