  1. Yes fellas, you read that correctly. I too could not believe my eyes but it is true. This is a beautiful young girl correctly explaining and flawlessly demonstrating how to double clutch.   2. UPDATE! My parents have decided that two rows of seats just isn't enough room for us for vacations so the crew cab won't work. Don't argue with that. What that means is that the IH can become anything imaginable. The plan is still on for the Diamond Reo, I just gotta get some money first. More to come! Ben

  4. Yea front brakes on tandem tractors were pretty rare for a while. You didn't really need them unless you were bobtailing. Ben

  7. Yea we get a little rowdy sometimes. If you don't like laughing, you should cancel your membership. This is one of the most fun places to hang out in all of cyberspace. But you gotta watch out though because some of us like weird stuff like two stroke diesel engines, offset cabs, and firetrucks. And there's even that one dude that likes peterbilts...... Ben

  9. Haha I'm glad you guys like them. We are actually quite limited by engine bay size in both of them. Since there are going to be 6 of us in the IH when we're on vacation, we cant have a huge doghouse in the cab. So we are hoping to get a 6V or 8V71 with Allison automatic to put in there and we are more than likely going to put the body on a different frame to be a little safer because the old split wheels and manual hydraulic brakes (with single cylinder master) and like 5:57 rear axle, it will just be easier to put it on a newer medium duty chassis. The Diamond Reo is even more limited in the engine compartment. Based on the configuration, the engine bay is no beer than 30 inches wide, about 30 inches high, and maybe like 5 inches long. plus the shift linkage runs right through it. I was originally planning on putting our 4-71N in there but there is absolutely no way that will ever fit in there. I can't even fit a 6v53 in there because that motor is too wide. So I am limited to a 4-53T. But at 185HP and 450Ft.-Lbs, that should be just fine. We are currently really busy with putting all of the flooring in a Best Western that is becoming a Holiday Inn Express. We have very tough deadlines to meet and we are working 8 - 12 hours a day 6 or 7 days a week to complete it. The project is on it's final stages though so as soon as we are done with it, we will hopefully start working on the International. As for me and the Diamond Reo, I have finish paying my dad back for the purchase of my pickup truck and then buy the COE from him and then I will begin working on it in short order. I am really hoping to have it by my 16th birthday (June 19th) so I can begin hauling scrap immediately. Updates to come! Ben
  10. Yea I love the Diamond Reo. It does have the fiberglass cab and it also has a very large plate on each side of the frame from the back of the cab all the way to the spring shackles just for extra support. It is extremely heavy duty for it's size so it will make an awesome hauler. And the best part is my dad thinks it's ugly so he won't mind selling it to me as soon as I get the money Ben

  12. Well y'all know how we just love unusual stuff so it shouldn't surprise you that we would buy some more unique truck projects. We are very excited to begin working on each of these projects, both of which are going to take a lot of time, work, and money. So here they are in all their glory: Truck: 195? International R-185 Crew Cab fire truck. Plans: A really awesome RV puller to be equipped with Detroit two stroke and Allison automatic. Finish date goal: March 2014 Truck: 1964 Diamond Reo Coe ex-Iron City Beer delivery truck. Plans: I am going to restore it and put a custom ramp bed on it to haul scrap with and make money. It will be getting a 4-53T screamer as soon as I get the time and money to do so. Finish date goal: June 2014 I really can't wait to start working on both of them so they can be done and we can enjoy how awesome they will be Ben

And like 84superdog said, the fact that they would go through all the trouble and time and money to build that just to show off is just amazing. I love it. Ben

  17. Well you see, here's what I'm gonna do: Buy a B67 with the concave cab. Take the concave part, cut it out, turn it around, and weld it back in. Then I will have a convex cab B67. It will have sooo much room Ben

  19. Actually the clutch is sticking. Sometimes when you push the clutch all the way in, it sticks to the floor. That's because for the wrecker winch, there's a cable the runs back to at the back so you can disengage the clutch when engaging/disengaging the winch. Sometimes that cable sticks. And to tell the truth, on the way back from the show, he did a lot better. And in his defense, he is a floor guy, not a truck driver. I'd be willing to bet that no other member of this site could do flooring anywhere near as good as he can, and guess what, that's what puts the food on the table and the shoes on our feet Ben

  21. No! It sounded like garbage and it shook like an earthquake in the cab and it had no top end power and it was too QUIET. I would much rather it have been a two stroke. But beggars can't be choosers Ben
