  1. I'm thinking the 38's were made of steel where the 44's were cast iron but someone with more knowledge can correct me if I'm wrong
  2. Your differential should be interchangeable
  3. I don't remember if they were 5 or 6 spoke hubs but what I can see of your axle looks like the common 8 bolt used on 38's the heavier axle I've seen used 6 bolt or the cone shaped axles
  4. I parted out a 78 R model that had rears that looked just like those and they were 38's
  5. I don't know about the Granites but you don't have to on a CH
  6. You will probably have to change water pump housing because it sits lower if you change that you may also have to change oil cooler because you probably have plate type on 460 and round on 454 but I think everything will transfer off one another
  7. Getting it in there will be the easy part getting vmac2 to communicate to vecm will probably be the challenge
  8. Sounds to me like it's water in oil. When mine got water in oil due to a low liner it looked like snott coming out of crankcase filter
  9. I have an 85 superliner 1 with e9 12speed on new way air ride day cab. I would post pictures but haven't been able to in the past. $22,500
  10. A CXN might fit but The tow clevis will be wider apart on CXU than the CX's
  11. A PAI pistonless inframe kit was only around $1200 last time I checked that's what I would do if it were mine
  12. I think they used 3 different eup's 1 for the early etech, 1 that was for ccrs and ai, then 1 for the ac
  13. An RB just looks like a regular R model with a set back front axle
  14. Don't know for sure but I've always heard the 3.86 ratio was alot tuffer than the 3.87 if you're going to change to the 92/93 carrier's
  15. Just curious is there a reason for wanting to go to an AI engine instead of keeping what you already have?
  16. What year e7 and are you looking for new, rebuilt,or used take offs?
  17. Not sure on a 97 but my 99 has fuse box on outside of firewall by steering shaft that seems like I had similar issues and was a bad relay or fuse connection
  18. You would probably have to use the 4560 Allison as the have a .60 overdrive where the 750's are direct drive your 2080 will be a .60 overdrive also
  19. Yes they made single stick 6 speed pretty sure they were also designated a 2060 model same as the air shift 6 speed
  20. I believe they have a .71 overdrive the same as a 2090 so it should run highway speed ok
