  1. I tend to sit back and let the pro's handle this stuff, but from what I've learned on here, the prefix denotes the type of frame, i.e. RL= aluminum frame and RS=steel frame. The L suffix is for the other lightweight stuff, such as aluminum doors, not sure what else. An RS700L would have a steel frame with other lightweight components. It's a nice thing your doing with the Wikipedia site. I'm sure your work will be appreciated by many. Jim
  2. I drove a "package car" for a UPS holiday rush several years ago, and that's what we were told during training.
  3. Hi Thaddeus. I wanted to clear up some confusion you may be experiencing after reading an above post. I'm Boll Weevil from the other site and my name also happens to be Jim, but that's not me up there with the reply, altough I do wish I owned a 1973 RS700LST! Sorry I can't help with your question, but I can tell you that a Glazier in local 1087 in NYC has a wage and benefit package of over $41 an hour, so an Electrician would be more than that. I was in that local in the 80's, and like to check in from time to time and see what I'm missing.
  4. I'm really not sure. Last I saw it was over a year ago at our other warehouse. There is a B dump sitting in the yard, though.
  5. Here's the one I was talking about. A real nice ride!!!!!
  6. I've seen a truck that fits that description pulling a covered wagon on the Ohio pike a few times. It's always going the other way, so i've never seen the name on the sleeper, but based on the color ( sort of a metallic rust ) I'd say it's the same one. There is a picture of it either here (old site) or maybe Hank's truck pictures that lists the year as a '68.
  7. I saw that one at the ATHS show in New Stanton, along side a newer one with a similar paint scheme. Both sharp looking trucks.
  8. That was a post '73. I've seen former A-P-A transport trucks in the TruckPaper in recent months. They would be red s/a's (like in Convoy) but with the newer Grey interior versus the older tan like the one in Convoy would have.
  9. There's a pre-1973 s/a R600 about 2 miles from me (in southwestern PA) that was for sale a few years ago. It might still be, it's been sitting in the same spot, but is hard to see because a trailer is now parked in front of it. I can check into it, if you like.
  10. I thought there might have been more to it than a name change. Thanks for the reply. Jim
  11. First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Jim and I live about an hour south of Pittsburgh, PA. While I don't have a Bulldog to call my own, I currently drive an '81 R685T with just under 1.4 million miles that's in better shape than many trucks out there that are 20 years newer. The truck runs 4-5 days a week and on any given day might be found in PA, OH, MI, IN, MD, VA, WV,DE, eastern KY or western NY. I've been a fan of Bulldogs since I was 9 and my Dad let me sit behind the wheel of an early U600. I spent the next several years of summer vacations riding shotgun (many times with a milk crate for a seat ) in a number of B,R,U,F models. The company he worked for even had a BCR. While I like them all, The R, U, and F series are my personal favorites. Getting back to the original question: Are the ENDT675 and the EM6-250 the same engine with different model numbers, or were there major changes made? The plate on the engine says 250 gross hp @ 2300 rpm, so I just assumed was a 237. Jim
  12. The Pittsburgh,PA area show held iat Kenworth of PA in New Stanton, 7-10-2010
