  1. you may have an injector(s) leaking down or just dumping in fuel. happenad to me with my E-9. j.j.
  2. i drove a R-700 with a 318 Q/box. we had 6 r-600's. 5 with 325 v-8 macks and the 1 with the 318. it was no match for the 325's but a lot funner to drive. we 'd load 30 ton s of aggregate on the trailers and that ol'detroit sure did work, not to say both of my arms. if you tried to skip a split that ol' v-8 jimmy would fall flat on her face but no better sound could have come out of those stacks.

  6. usualy there are two adjusters. one centers the shoe and the other adjusts the shoe. the adjuster that centers the shoe will have a locknut on the adjuster. the adjusting bolt will not .i belive the adjusting bolts(one front one back) will be on the top of the backing plate.

  8. if it's a pickup it must be a column shift. i think your trying to shift the E-brake.
  9. i hi sully. i have a 1947 LS85/ 707. i have the same problem. can't find filters. i may get a spin on filter kit from wix. then filters would be easiy to get. j.j.
