  1. Fixing to tinker on the new dog. I spoke with the previous owner by calling a number I found in the cab. Nice guy. Any how he mentioned that if the truck is parked on a angle it will loose prime and he replaced all the hoses the transfer pump and filter housings to see if he could fix it. If it sits on the level no issues. I went and checked some stuff and then parked it on an angle and sure enough lost prime after about 2 days 1 day was able to start 2 days cranked about 20 seconds cracked the line and no fuel I pumped it up and it fired. He said he replaced the transfer pump thinking it was that but I am not sure if it is missing a check valve some where.
  2. Looks awesome so the diamond tuck and the pleated came in a rool with foam pad on it ready-made
  3. It's missing the oil filler cap I bet it has dust and debris in it. The windows rolled down no pictures of interior and it looks like air ride. If windshields were easy to find that might be a good save for someone
  4. What are you using for glue? I never had good luck with the auto parts rattle cans. I used stuff from the upholstery guy that helped me on my 78
  5. I been just reading on here since I do most stuff now on FB. So if we are friends there you probably have seen her. 1992 Mack Superliner RW713 E7 400, 15 Speed Fuller, rears have been changed out to 4.64, double frame, factory duel side mount air breathers. Truck has been parked since July 2016. I replaced the batteries and checked everything and she fired right up. Not sure what I am going to do with her yet meaning (dump truck or leave as a tractor) The previous owner took care of her really well. It seems to have several different paint schemes and the only rust is the bottom of the passenger side door under the washer bottle. The dash and interior panels are all in good shape. I have found a few minor issues things that I am going to fix- The air ride seat leaks down, the dip stick tube needs to be replaced it is missing a piece on the top of the tube and the dipstick when inserted all way does not cover it. The DS vent window is missing the latch. The cab mounts and other wear items like the shocks all seem to be fairly new. It had dual exhaust and I think I will switch it back. The truck will need paint and tires and my plan is to start on that after Christmas.
  6. Keep and loan it to a museum or the ATHS to put in the HQs building
  7. I wonder if it is double framed, and a little high on price
  8. what is it for a transmission? or should i say the model number from the case
  9. That looks like atruck with years old pictures and best to be looked at in person especially for that money
  10. Mack manual TS442 should provide you all the info that you need
  11. I was told if you give your Vin number to the mack dealer they are supposed to be able to get a copy by Vin number from mack. Option two contact the mack museum and then look up ebay until someone sells one. The clutch freeplay for the clutch brake should be adjusted by taking the slack out of the cable/linkage the clutch brake brake should engage about 1 inch from the floor. The main clutch should be adjusted like other clutches by an a duster on the clutch pack. Pull the bottom dust cover off and bar the engine over until you see the adjuster than have someone press the clutch pedal down and adjust the clutch until it engages about 3/4 up
  12. I did find on PAI site a rebuild kit for the ball socket. If the plugs on mine weren't welded I would probably try that route first as I am sure the PAI kit would be less than a complete torque rod kit.
  13. Are the axle mounts tapered like new ones or are they straight? I tried Stengel and they asked me that question. I know on the other trucks that I have done the torque rod ends were tapered not sure how they would work if the ones I have are not tapered.
  14. NLA The front Torque Rod is 17QF323P5 /1RY312P5 24 1/8th center to center The rear Torque Rod is 17QF323P6 / 1RY312P6 28 3/8 center to center
  15. The truck pulls up in the Mack system but everything but the trunion bushings is NLA.
  16. Nobody snatched it yet? Larry go take us some pictures and spec it for us.
  17. That gear box is just fastened on maybe tack welded you should be able to just the gear box.
  18. Supposedly it was bought by a guy that owned a quarry near Wichita KS, used to pull an end dump and his low boy. The guy I bought from bought it from the original owner.
  19. Yes I like the bed and the looks and no on the quality when I bought it in 06 the powder coating started flaking of by 2011 they finally agreed to re-powder coat it if I paid $500 for sand blasting guess what they half asses it and never sandblasted the bottom so it is rusting out from the inside out. I am not hard on the truck or bed, its a 2006 3500 4x4 and I just have 107K on the truck and its like new inside and out except for the rusting on the underside of the bed. I am thinking about buying a new chevy quadcab 3500 4x4 cab & chassis and I have decided to buy another Bradford bed but it will be the aluminum version. I am up in the air on the new truck as the service manager for the truck shop at the Chevy dealer I go to told me that they are having a lot of issues with the emissions on the new ones. But the dealer called me and said they have a 2016 3500 4x4 quadcab for $42K plus I have some cash on my GM card so should be below $40K out the door will see stopping by tomorrow to look the truck over.
  20. A couple have the plugs welded up and the are loose so figure they are probably need to be replaced
