  1. That one is to new and different setup only thing similar is the color of the paint. Mine is a Western and has 44K camelback with a Cummins 400 and 13 speed. There was a sister truck that was for sale but not sure where it went. Been looking at the Colorado CL once a week to see if it comes up for sale. Superdog end up with a cousin and a step brother to mine.
  2. It may not be a A30 but something else like an A40 or A50. It has the hood emblems so you are off to a good start I would be $1200 to $1500 tops that is way more than scrap and it will give you some meat on the bone to get you a 5.9 cummins. That thing won't take a very big motor and I ended up with a DD453. A DD6-71 wont fit, a 673 or 2 Mack, a 250 cummins wont fit. Ask me how I know.
  3. UPDATE Still have not put the sleeper on cant bring myself to cut a hole in the cab. Back in July at a truck show got ran into so I was trying to get the guy who originally painted the truck to do the work since he owed me 3 fixes, on top of the hood and fix a couple spots he screwed up. So after two months of waiting I took it to a different shop and paying them to fix the cracked fender and the screw ups to. I ordered a new bumper from Fleet Truck Parts- http://www.fleettruckparts.com/Truck-Bumpers/Mack-Bumpers was perfect match and heavy as what is on there with good chrome I would recommend them.
  4. UPDATE Well the old girl runs fine and still works hard. Top speed is around I would guess 87 MPH it cruises easy at 72ish at 1600 rpms in overdrive. Empty she is a little heavier than I wanted (23700 with one full tank of fuel) but it does have a good lined box with some 7/16" heavy plate and having a 4 speed spicer (aux) adds a few extra poundage. She seems to be easy on fuel and I try don't load more than my plates 54K. 15 tons is right around 53K depending on fuel level. Most everything I haul is lighter than that because they want 20 or 24 tons so I usually run about 10 to 13 tons. Hoping to get her in some new paint in October, probably stick with the blue but have some different colored fenders to give a east coast vibe. I redid the window channel and latches. I got the strikers and assorted parts via PAI and they were dead on fits at more than 50% less than Mack wanted. I went to my favorite old trucks guys (Jim Carter Chevy) for the window channel and whiskers. Been stopped by the DOT, and the truck got a clean bill of health. I finally got all the fluids replaced and did not find any surprises, I did put in some new magnet plugs but the old ones were fine just the square ends were rounded off. She was making a clicking sound going from high into low and the PTO had a whine, when I drained the transmission I rebuilt the PTO and cleaned the back box valve that seemed to fix everything. Still a truck with a gazillion miles but I think for what I am doing she will do fine. I get lots of looks and smiles from the other drivers not sure if they are impressed or think I am stupid. but she has more than paid for herself and I enjoy driving her.
  5. I will go revive thread right now.
  6. Wish you were way closer it be at my house getting cleaned up to get a dump bed put on. If you decide to subtract shipping pm me.
  7. Good save. Watch the publication dates as changes were made over the years to the manuals the date on that was for 1980 so that would be the best for your truck.
  8. I think you are to far into the weeds with this and getting confused. You can't worry about this unless you have a test bench, and some training on how to set everything up. 1) First you need volume, not mass, of fuel per hour. The density of diesel fuel varies, but 0.85 kg/L is a typical value for #2 diesel. For example 1 kg/h x 1 L/0.85 kg = 1.18 L/h. 2) You need the number of injections per hour. the Mack Diesels are 4-cycle engines; each cylinder has one injection per two revolutions. There are 60 min/h 1 inj/2 rev x rpm x (n cylinders) x 60 min/h gives total injections per hour. For example, the 1 kg/h above might be typical of a small 2 cylinder diesel 1/2 x 2200 x 2 x 60 = 132 000 injections per hour 1.18 L/h /132000 inj/h = 8.9 µL/injection Note that 1 mm³ = 1 µL
  9. The windshields are probably worth a fortune.
  10. Gee wiz; I can't believe I have not been on here in a while and this truck was part of the reason I quit tuning in.
  11. definitely something for everyone. Hopefully, priced right so they go to good homes.
  12. Wish I had the cash I would buy it and haul rock with it.
  13. you must have the big ones the ones folks have around here most are 753s and can't dump much over 7.5 feet on level ground. I have a 2x8 on mine and they bang into it so I just don't do it. No need to tear up the board or the tarp system.
  14. Nice truck. Was the door a different color red?
  15. Does the spare motor run or just for parts and neither run?? Interior pictures would be great also
  16. How big is the box? Small box like that would be good for farm or tag trailer hauler. It must work but hope you get paid by the hour and not by the ton!
  17. ATHS Wheels of Time would be a good start. Bill Crouse had a few old trailers for sale that were road worthy the last I heard. http://www.crousetransportation.com/vehicle.php I just went to there website apparently he is selling a lot of the collection
  18. At least that old quarry dump bed is protecting the cab
