  1. New here to BigMackTrucks.com, just picked up this 1955 Completely Restored to almost Museum Quality B85 Thermadyne Engine from a collector in New Hampshire. Looking forward to many years of enjoyment with her, and eventually my caisson rig ~ Being retired you no longer get the last ride on a rig, so I wanted to make sure I could. Look forward to reading and learning from the Old Timers here, and picking the brains from those of you when I come across something I need help with. Look forward to running across some of you at different shows or musters.

  2. I picked up a new hat at the Walmart store I saw some wimmens in Winfall. An unsecured- as far as i'm concerned anyway- load of coils in Lynchburg. And a big Mack truck parked just up the road from here.

  3. Thanks Mike, are you looking for the last 4 that's ~ 1028. I've been looking at buying for quite sometime now. I came across this Rig along with a 1950 Ford Flathead V8, 3 on the Tree Museum Quality Chief's Car too. The collector of these passed away and the family just wanted to sell it all. What's Macungie ?

  7. Ginsberg will probably arrange for her aides to do a Weekend at Bernie's and tie her upright in a chair and hope nobody notices.

  10. So Mattis has resigned.....big news. (but hey, we now have a FOX News presenter, Heather Nauert, as our new UN ambassador) From a distance, Mattis seemed okay. I'm all for our troops coming home. It's not our neighborhood. It's up to the locals to stand up and fix their homeland, rather than run away to Europe and the US as economic migrants. It appears that we partnered with many questionable groups in the war on terror, including the one squad that decapitates young boys on the back of pickup trucks. The Soviet Union couldn't sort out Afghanistan.....we thought we could?

  12. A little I’ve a month ago I moved into this 2016 Pinnacle . I love it ! Next best thing to my Superliner . It came up for grabs the beginning of last month at work when the guy that drove it and abused it for the last year wanted out of it because he wanted the 2006 International instead ? Go figure The guy ain’t right . So I went in the office and asked the boss if I could have it surprisingly he said yes ! I’m getting it cleaned up a little more all the time . I love the truck I pull s great not as good as my E9 I have at home but I’m still very pleased with its performance as I’m gross

  15. GM seems to be pushing the story that these trucks are available, probably fishing for some Chapter 179 tax write-off sales that have to be made by year end.

  21. 22.5 wheels usually mean air brakes and above 26000 g v w. we ordered a 19 about 7 months ago. its in this week. we ordered our own wrecker body s we will see what happens. personally we have 5-6 of the old style junk in my opinion 04-08 Kodiak style with the van style cab. hope this is better

  22. These new trucks sound awesome. Then again, I'd like to have my old trucks from back in the day, my 1967 C10, C40, and C60. The C40 had over 300K miles on its 2bbl 283 and still ran well when I sold it to the next guy. Those were spartan trucks to be sure but there was nothing on them that I couldn't fix.

  23. I drove a truck for Giant 35 years and this truck was our parade ready, completely rebuilt show piece. I have driven it in the past, 673 with unishift. Giant made many truck showpieces in their shop for their drivers and shop. Unfortunately the company was bought out by a holding corp. and sold off everything and chopped the company up and sold most of the assets. Sad end to a good company. I wanted to buy this truck but didn't have the money then(new child) . Wish I could have it now but the owner is asking to much!

  24. Bottom line-competition will improve the "breed". Ford is arrogant-as evidenced by the marketing guys comment I referred to recently-"like they don't have to do anything"-guess what-as I see things around here, Dodge does well in class 4 and 5 and seems to me they do it on price-so owners have told me. These GM/Binders will be doing it on specs or so it seems-again pricing within reason.

  26. My understanding is most all of this applies to the 4500 and 5500 as well. I think some of the longer wheelbases are restricted to the heavier series trucks. I think about all Chevy really needs to add to these trucks is a gasoline/CNG/LNG engine and 22.5" wheels for the 6500's. Gas engine is reported to be coming for the 2020 model year.

  27. Well as I see the Syria situation, we had a bit over 2000 troops there who were providing the direction for the Kurds and everyone else. Without that co-ordinated direction it sounds like things will go downhill fast. There are far to many knowledgeable high ranking military types besides Mattis who think this is a mistake. Once again it seems this is another campaign promise that regardless of what the facts/experts say, Trump will play to the galleries with another..."I said I was going to do it and I did". Factual situation has nothing to do with it. As for Nauert, I could not

  31. You can start on February 14th to 16th at the ATCA Vintage Trucks of Florida chapter show combined with the ATCA Southern National show, the SNOWBIRD MACUNGIE, in Leesburg FL on FL RT 44 near the I-75 / FLA Pike split at Wildwood. This event is held in a park like setting at Stew Paquette's Farmall Museum with 3 buildings containing over 100 tractors and machinery. Saturday a car club shows up with about 25 cars, plus tractor pulls, vendors, food and music. I will be there with my little Diamond T 201 along with about 75 to 100 other trucks.
