  4. I will stick with my old case/ ingersols This is one made for Massey Ferguson This is my loader Yes they do require some work, mainly to replace old hydraulic hoses, but they are paid for and I can afford a whole fleet of tractors for a fraction of the cost of a new one

  9. I wondered how bad my luck was going to get, but... I had the gout so bad this week that I could hardly walk, I believe because of getting too hot on several occasions last week and almost melting. I couldn't work all week. Went to the Dr. in Appomattox Tuesday and had to use my left foot on the brake in the car because my foot hurt so bad. If you've never had the gout, the pain is excruciating. I'd only had it a couple of times before, and never anywhere near this bad, or that lasted this long. She gave me a prescription for some medicine, some pills that you took 2 of, then wa

  10. For sure-no bullshit guy who had no trouble calling a spade a spade. A different kind of guy from the majority of the ones we have seen at the top. And kind of like whoever is at the top at Ford, he always had to contend with a family that was behind the scenes-at least that is the perception I have. How about it Kevin or anyone else with a good handle on just what Fiat is all about these days??

  11. If you can get a vendor engine powered Volvo truck 6 months faster then an in-house built engine, I would say there is a supply issue. That's straight from our sales dept. It also shows that customers are much happier ordering the MP/D series engine which also good for business.

  16. Back in 2003 a local Asphalt paving contractor (union shop) needed a scraper for a long haul cut and grade job. At the time I had a TS-24 Euclid and got the contract, as an owner/operator I was union exempt, the IUOE guys were cool with that and we got along just fine. BUT... some token woman teamster on the water truck had an issue and brought in Jimmy Hoffa's boys. It was all spelled out in the contract who I was and why I was there, but the job got shut down for a day while the thugs reread the contract over and over. Eventually reading comprehension prevailed. But those idiots were ready t

  19. Absolutely, I tried to stay hydrated, thought I was, but it was not enough. I figured it up and I tarped and untarped 9 loads last week. And I would have to agree about the pain, I could hardly walk. When I was in Norcross, Ga. I got out of the truck to untarp, barely able to walk because of the worst attack of gout I've ever had- No doubt because of all the sweat I've poured out this week- and the guy driving this truck right here, the "Engineered Floors" truck, gets out and helps me pull the tarps, fold them, unchain, unstrap, and put my chains and binders away. I could not thank
