  1. half the problem stems from no death penalty in half these states. Ny being one of those Pussy states. kill em off, don't send the in for life in prision. really, so we have to pay for them to have free room and board and education, internet and tv?? you kill someone, you don't get to live, mandatory death within a month. over. scare some of these lowlifes and set an example.

  5. Oops. I had to take a call. Was wondering what things look like under the hood of that one Truck Stop hasn't been able to get a holt of. I know it is CUMMINS powered. And has the same hole in the bumper that mine has, lined up with notch in center of the crank shaft. It looks like the same wheel base as mine , which is longer than the wheel bases shown on the sales spec sheet.. That would be a dandy to get your hands on .

  6. The R/C truck guys are gathering near Indy in 2 weeks. indoors at the fairgrounds. I have done a few of these events and they are fun to see the trucks and equipment run. this one is not at the hotel where the toy show was at. this one is in Lebanon a few miles up the road from INDY. Im going to try and make it for at least one night. if you are on facebook click this https://www.facebook.com/groups/rctrucksandconstruction/?multi_permalinks=2000330856953520&notif_id=1515128653972853&notif_t=feedback_reaction_generic or check out the web forums http://rctruckandc

  7. I believe the last year one could order a Class 6-7 Ford (F-650/F-750) with a Caterpillar (7.2L C7) was 2009. And the last year one could order a Class 6-7 Ford with a Cummins (6.7L ISB) was 2015. Fast forward to last year (2017), I think the lack of better credentials (Cummins powerplant, Allison automatic, Eaton transmissions) and lack of aggressive sales marketing are the root of Ford's problems in medium duty.

  11. Cummins were under the hood of B-71, 73, 733, 77, 773, 83, 833, 85, 853, 87, 873 https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/tutorials/article/206-b-model-engine-data/ The B-73 you saw had a transplanted CAT engine. Originally it was a Cummins. Not aware of any US regular production B's getting a CAT. A B-71 isn't a set back axle. But it is a B model with an extended nose. B-21 fire trucks with Hall Scott power also used an extended hood.

  12. Kevin- Hear you on the E-550. Dealer friend of mine was really pissed when they dropped it. He had converted a lot of customers to the truck and was enjoying repeat sales. As for the utilities, I do see some 5500 Dodge buckets running around these parts but there is an Altech facility in next town over. Their yard is always full of chassis awaiting installs. There are probably 100 or more Fords there now and a few -5??- Dodges. As for big trucks-(class7,8) virtually all F'liners with a few Internationals and an occasional PACCAR. Have not seen a Ford since Blue Diamond shu

  14. Wards Auto / January 12, 2018 U.S. medium- and heavy-duty truck sales hit 43,534 in December, 24.3% above year-ago’s 36,365. With seven months of consecutive year-over-year gains, big trucks ended the year at 415,042 units, 3.5% ahead of like-2016’s 400,996. Class 8 sales posted a 48.5% gain, a third December best, to 22,355. The push wasn’t enough to equal last year’s total of 192,662, with 2017 falling 0.2% short to 192,252. Segment leader Freightliner almost doubled its volume, reaching 8,504 deliveries and accounting for a 38.0% market share. Volvo was the only truck maker in t

  18. Couldn't agree more! I just heard him make a speech about taking back the streets from cars. Huh? Shouldn't he as CEO of a car company be trying to sell more cars? He hasn't learned from the success of Mulaly. Stick to the core brand and what customers are asking for and the company does well. I am not saying that a car company shouldn't be exploring the future potential of autonomous and electric vehicles, but to divert so much resources away from what people are asking for and not keeping focus on the current core brands quality is short sighted. All the hype for autonomous cars m

  19. That could be part of the strategy too. In some ways it may not be a bad thing but I am not confident the upper management at Ford such as the new CEO will execute it properly. They are often out of touch with what the people who visit our show rooms want. The Ranger is also a victim of caution as to what people will want in this size truck and most importantly having any effects on the cash cow which is the F-150. Then again the F-series pays most of Fords bills. If the Ranger takes off, expect to see more versions some of us have noted. A bright spot for the Ranger is that it

  21. When I get that very early feeling I try to catch it as soon as possible with all possible possibilities. Usually if it's close to evening a small dose of Jamaica rum or Scotch product helps being drunk with a current portion of food. Also I use to keep a can of honey at my kitchen and add a fair amount of it into tea replacing current sugar. Also I make a cup of milk hot in a microwave stoove adding honey again and a small bit of butter. And drink it hot right before getting too bad to bed. Than if such "emergency" stuff don't work I get medicals. But I don't have troubles with blood pre

  26. Bumping this thread back to life...almost 1 year later and the forum seems to have picked up a little but I gotta agree with you guys...Facebook is strangling a lot of forums! It is easier to use, quicker to post and a lot of people are already registered users! The problem with Facebook is that the info that gets posted is useful at the time but it doesn't get archived very well and is almost impossible to search. Forums will always be a better source of information than Facebook groups! Just hang in there and the forms will be strong again!
