  1. Since Covid19 has killed all the truck shows for most of the year it was time to give the old dog a bath and groom before going to sleep for the summer. As with any old dog she was dirty and dusty from just laying around, just waiting to go to a few shows. So had to take the dog to the detailer, sign on building, and get polished and waxed because things are starting to open up again cause of Covid19. Wanted to give my neighbor some much needed work. It took four days to detail, bugs actually etched into the paint, glass water etched, polish aluminum parts and wheels. Turned out a lot better t

Your unit is outnumbered 8-1 and the enemy fire is so intense from 100 yards away, that your CO (commanding officer) has ordered the MedEvac helicopters to stop coming in. You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns and you know you're not getting out. Your family is half way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you kn

We went to the America on Wheels museum; they have some really nice Macks and Mack memorabilia. They have a lot of cars and motorcycles...I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area. The placard for this F model said it has around 2 million miles on it. Really nice B model: Exceptionally nice B model: Maxidyne! The certificate for this gold-plated First Gear model says it's one of only 4 made. We also went t

  6. Got the old girl to move under it's own power for the first time in two years. Decided to move it out to give the garage a much needed cleaning up. Going to install the grill shell and headlight panels later. Almost took it down the road but it's not quite ready for it's maiden voyage yet.

The owner who is 81 was forced to retire because he has extreme difficulty getting in and out of the truck since he broke his neck at age 79.He's a tough old dude and a pleasant man to converse with.

  9. Newest addition to collection 1964 Mack C615 . Mack made only 1589 C models during 1963-1965 the C615 was limited to 208 made. This truck is in original condition always garage kept only one driver (the original owners son). This truck has a Mack END864 V-8, Quadraplex, looks to be a 44k camelback, double frame, power steering. 11.00x20 tires, the filler panels for the fenders are there just not currently installed.

  12. My single axle donor truck is an H67LT so it's got aluminum suspension brackets and air tanks. I cleaned the tanks thoroughly (inside and out) and pressure tested them. I used a jitterbug with 320 paper and then wet sanded with 600, 800, and 1000; then polished with Mothers. They're still scarred from decades of hanging under a truck but I like them anyway. I'm not going for a showroom new look, I like a truck that has some character to it.

  13. I always thought it would be cool to own a C-model and it happened today. A friend of mine decided to sell his dad's old truck. They used it to haul grain to Duluth, MN back in the day, then it was converted into a motorhome. It now has a 237 with a triplex. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, but the price was right.

  14. So we have been trapped in the house for the past 45+ days. The kids have been doing home study, and get outside when they can as the weather here in eastern Pennsylvania has been for the birds lately. Half a day of sun and then six days of rain. Wash, rinse, repeat. Large (now 16) and Medium (now 15) are pissed off they can't go hang out with their buddies and are suffering because of it. Large (10th grade) also began Welding at the Votech school this year (one of the hardest programs to get into.....) and he grew to LOVE his classes between September and March when they locked down the schoo

  15. I wanted to share my latest addition . It started life as an R795 . But the owner ( that has passed now ) liked detroit motors. So they put an 8V92 in it. I don't know a lot about the truck. I believe it has 44 k rears, 12 k front . I do know it is a 1977 , 475 hp and it has a 13 speed . I am now the 3rd owner of the truck. My plan is to use it a little to move equipment and take to the occasional show. As strange as it seems …….. my attraction to this truck is the motor. It just sounds so cool ! I plan on doing some video of it . I will post when i g

  17. Thought I’d share a couple pics of my R model that was delivered this weekend. I purchased the truck from the wife of the original owner who passed away last year. He had ordered it new in 1979 and was the only one to drive it. The truck has 118k miles and was used to pull a lowboy. It’s completly original except the blue paint which was done at the Mack dealer when truck was new.

  20. DONE, DONE, DONE!!!! Final patches on the lower windshield pillars installed and cleaned up the gutters. Test fit the doors and all is well with no rubbing. Obviously, I need to tweak a lot of little stuff. Looking at my last couple of posts, it doesn’t look like a lot of progress. But, there was, as it was all the hard stuff that shows. I am amazed I brought this cab back and now my big headache is behind me!!

  23. Was keeping an eye for an MH tandem tractor which was in service in Southern part of Russia. Actually a city of Novorossiysk - a big sea port at Black sea. It used to tow trailers with containers from the port and do other hauls until got a synchro issue and lost hi range in its T2090 9-speed. Overall condition was poor either and the owner was running out of money and went out of business as the follow. So the truck was put for sale about a year back or so. The price tag was way out of common sence but he made a drop in a month and I called him. Learned some basic facts and put the deal on a

  27. I just wanted to thank everyone on this site that helped me along the way. And also show off my new playtoy. I found this truck about 4 months ago. It ran real well and had a real solid cab. It needed all of the front body pieces except the grill shell. I think the PO sent them out to be sandblasted and never got them back. I spent some time doing bodywork which I hate doing and probably could've done a better job but I wanted a driver. Something I dont have to be worried about parking at a show. And something my kids can climb in and not worry about a scratch. I was able to take it for a ride

  28. Four wheel driving here is a bit different than in the states. You can pretty much go where ever you want, anytime you want. Mountains, beach, bush. No worries! Also different types of vehicles. My son Maxim loves his Nissan safari and l was more the Land Rover defender type. We spent a lot of time driving around this amazing country.

  30. After about 3 plus years pulled the truck out of the shop for some insurance pictures . Truck was built March 1961 third of an order of twenty four for Genesee Valley Transportation Inc. Buffalo, NY. Painted to U.S. Post Office Specifications . Used by Genesee Valley Trans to haul mail. I could have finished the truck about a year sooner if I did not spend some much time looking for the last tool I was using .

I’ve never even had a garage and now I have a 36’X48’ shop. First of all I know this thread is worthless with out pictures. They will come soon I promise. My old buddy (who I bought my Willy’s pickup from) has had the shop for years. I had told him in the past to let me know if he ever wanted to sell to let me know and would you believe I actually had money at the time he wanted to sell?! Part of the reason I haven’t got pics posted is I’m still wai

  35. Vermont man takes revenge on town board with a 700-pound statue of a middle finger By Rex Santus Dec 11, 2018 A Vermont man was so incensed by his town's zoning regulations that he erected a 700-pound statue giving officials the middle finger — and lit it with floodlights so they would always be reminded of his feelings toward them. Ted Pelkey’s decade-long feud with local officials reached spiteful new heights Nov. 30, when he installed the statue on a high pole in his front yard, along Route 128, after his reque

  36. This truck hasn't seen many miles in a lot of years. A friend who started driving in Virginia in an H model wants to drive it up to the Brooks, OR show in a few weeks so I decided to get it serviced and make a run. It performed well other than the sticks are awful stiff. It will be a hot 270 mile run but a lot of fun and memories. Note the smoke in our valley................plain awful for 2 weeks now.

  37. We had our local tractor show this past weekend. Friday was nice but Saturday was almost a complete wash out. I built a pulling hitch for the mack and they left me pull friday after the diesel pickups. Truck worked real good and had a lot of fun doing it. I have most of the bugs worked out of our johndeere B and got to put it on a pto dyno Saturday. It had 33 horsepower at 540rpm and maxed out at 38hp. Not bad for a 28 horse tractor.

  39. Evening Folks, I am happy to report the B arrived safely this morning, and with a couple fresh batteries, fired right up with no issues. It is a 237 Mack w/jakes, and looks to be a really low time engine, I drove it off the trailer and the last mile home with no problem. Pic of it sitting in the driveway next to my F250 service truck.

Ollie was thrilled- I can't resize the pictures with my phone, so they might be too big. I saw a V8 Mack there. Nice B model- I thought this was a great paint job, but it's actually a wrap. I saw a few dignitaries too. Like farmer52 Fuzzy Buzzard Underdog, talking to Ollie. Here's a fine looking Dodge, and the nicest D860 GMC I've ever seen, this restoration is just fantastic.

  43. Nice looking black B, got the cab and hood for mine out of Texas as well, look like what is on the plate. There are more than a few B-755's still around. There was a number of differences from a B-75, mostly to do with raising the cab to fit the engine. Most do not have the original 864 in them anymore. OEM B-755 had the NA 864/255hp. It was Mack's first attempt at bigger HP but the engine was plagued with problems. Then came the twin turbo 864/305hp in 1967 in the R Model. The injection pump was a nightmare! I had a running 864/255 for my B-755 but choose to go with a 866/375h
