  1. In the long run, I think Trump won't be any different than any other president to take office. There's just been too much red tape and back door deals done over the years, it's way too complex to unwind. Reality is, we only see small parts of government. There's no way we get the entire picture. Like I've said in the past, Trump is egotistical and thrives off unrest. Unfortunately, it put a working guy in a position where he could've lost his job or had charges pressed against him because some asshole wannabe hipster wants to burn a flag because "he's part of the movement". Wether you're Union

  2. my favorite line, ''if you don't like it, get the F*ck out!'' all these flakes need to get over it, like it or not he is our president, did I vote for him? absof*ckinglutely!. do I agree with everything he does and says? nope. gotta be better than the last two or three or four and if not? oh well, give him a chance. my favorite line from Obama...'' I'm going on a vacation'' really? cause where have you been for the past 8 years?? get a job! wish I had all day to sit around in my lookalike Vietnam war gear and protest. nope, I have a job where the government rips me off every week to support

I not gunna tell anybody in another country how or what to do but the treason laws in Australia need to be bought back in and enforced fully and burning the flag is treason and how people can walk on by not stop it is unbelievable at least these two blokes tried and good on them they get my full support Paul

  10. Yes, I've decided that I should sell the mixer truck. I'm putting it here first, i'll take $5,000 - and that's not etched in stone- from any BMT member. I'd really like to see it in the Keystone Tractor Museum, but they've shown no interest in it. I'll probably ask $6500 for it, the price when I bought it, but i'll let it go for 5 to BMT members that have been here a year or more- just so nobody joins tomorrow to get a good deal. I have nowhere to store it inside, and that's where it needs to be. It needs some TLC, and I don't have the time, and no where to even park it at home. The clear

  13. I dont know if anyone else knows this or not but some Australian Army Mack 6x6 R models are convertible I guess you would call them cabriolet ????? I think is the term used I noticed some at Mack Townsville a few years ago and reckon they would make a great fire truck a bit like the NO scrub basher on here a few years ago anyway I may have to keep on dreaming but check this out Paul

  19. The Volvo engines were never installed in the R model variations, I suspect the 13 liter Volvo would only fit in the Superliner and it was discontinued in the early 90s. Thus the E7s were probably the only engine available in the last of the R model variants.

  20. Well had some information come to hand today Did you know that Muslims were crucial in opening up Australia's vast interior ?????? Afghan Cameleers changed the Australian way of life for ever as they were the crucial link that opened up our vast dry country Interestingly enough these very Afghans as we called them but all werent, by the turn of the 20th century no longer desired or required their meat to be killed in the Halal way. And I quote this "The Muslim faith had diluted and halal-killed meat was no longer a requirement to the younger men." So I guess the re

  25. I have no problem with the gist of Trump’s executive order, PROTECTING THE NATION FROM FOREIGN TERRORIST ENTRY INTO THE UNITED STATES (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/trump_executive_order_refugee_curbs.pdf) It states: “Numerous foreign-born individuals have been convicted or implicated in terrorism-related crimes since September 11, 2001, including foreign nationals who entered the United States after receiving visitor, student, or employment visas, or who entered through the United States refugee resettlement program.” Trump's executive order bars citizens of 7 Mus

Turned out the guy was never taught the protocol on properly folding the flag for storage, so my friend gave him the short course and it ended out well!

  30. I like that drill rig- by the way, you can draw pretty good! I saw a red and white White/GMC cabover in Roanoke. ....where I picked up a load of steel ...going to Largo,Md, where I saw a colorful mixer behind me. ...and then another one. Folks lined up on 66 east as far as you can see, trying to get to D.C. I was going west trying to get away as fast as I could. Then I took a load to Knoxville on a Conestoga, and reloaded some machines in McMinnville going back to Lynchburg, but I have no photographic evidence of this. Then I had to g

  31. Don't see what the big deal is in building a cab and chassis, and when it gets to the end of the assembly line, pull it out into the parking lot with a fork lift. Daimler and Paccar have it figured out.

  32. Dump the CH and bring over the Aussie Macks (Superliner/Trident/Titan). Keep the CXU, Granite and COE's. This would allow Mack to compete with Paccar, Daimler and Navistar.

  34. Typically, different US state markets from coast-to-coast and from north and south give me varying feedback. However, I've been hearing universally nationwide for some time now that Kenworth is coming on very strong. Mack brand salesmen nationwide are losing Class 8 deals to Freightliner, Kenworth and other brands because their pricing is $10,000 to $15,000 high.

  35. Once more, people domestically and abroad are criticizing the US over refugees, this time now that Trump has shut off the flow of citizens from 7 seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the US for a mere 90 days, and suspends the admission of all refugees for a mere 120 days. Why? When things fell apart in Syria, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates) refused to take in refugees. We'll throw some money into the pot, they said, but we don't want them living with us. So much for helping out their Muslim ne

  39. I don't usually get involved with politics, because it's all bullshit in the long run, but is anybody here concerned about his behavior after the first week? The fact that he can't stand losing the popular vote eats him up, the fact that he's gonna waste tax payer money "investigating" voter fraud when he won the fucking election! It's absurd. The fact that he talked about his inauguration crowd compared to Obama's for a few days is absurd. The fact that he won't release his tax returns when he said he would is absurd. We have no idea how deep his worldwide holdings really go now. His two son
