  3. Those are alot of great additions of pics to the tread. I have along way to go yet, to get mine to the level of some of the trucks, alot of care and attention to detail in them. I am happy to be taking mine back to its original looks after seeing the ones on this page and all the nice comments I had on another post. Well shameless one of mine and its older sister that was actualy taken to a car show this past weekend as a request by show sponser and the car people loved the truck, knew little of its history or what it was but it looked nice to them.

  8. Doug, thanks for the input. I was hoping to do it today before I had to go on a run but business comes first. By the time I got back from Kearny picking up a 1970 442 Convertible, it was raining like hell. I made a ground wire while I was in the shop already so I'll take 5 minutes tomorrow and remount this thing and cross our fingers, I should be good. As for the oil spot, I hope the landlord didn't see it yet.

  11. I finally got my LFT back from my mechanic. It had been hauled to him in October of 2010. The Lanova was apart with a bad number 5 piston and liner. While a lot of parts came with it, the truck had more problems than expected. My mechanic had a hard time finding parts. He got it all back together and drove it to my house two weeks. I drove it to Macungie lat week. As far as I know, that was the first show it was at since the ATHS National Show in Valley Forge, PA in 1985. I had not even washed it. I had several offers to buy it. They were all declined. We also had the Smith's Brockw

  21. When we think of one-man half-cab vocational chassis, we probably tend to think of Crane Carrier. But Freightliner was quite active in this segment as well, begining with the WFHT in the 1960s and leading to the Uni-Body in the 1970s.

The whole deal has never worked good I think . Previousy I had a 1988 E6-350 4 valve with Dynatard it worked much better than this one . Between he and I the system has been worked on 3-4 times , o rings solenoids and a bunch of other things . Work was don at Mack dealership I really think they don't know what's going on . The exhaust part is working sounds like anyway , but the other part seems useless . Honestl;y I have little fait

  38. My maiden voyage to Macungie... The trailer makes a completely different driving experience with the MH - for the good. No more "slap" in the back, no more shift lever spasms or jumping out-of-gear, and no more "skipping" sideways when hitting a bump. I could still feel the bumps, 1st one front axle, 2nd one rear axle, then nothing. I tried to watch the trailer and it never bounced nor could I feel any bumps or even know the trailer was back there. Of course the engine worked a little harder to pull the extra load but other than that it runs and pulls great. I was able to run 65-70 mph wh

  41. Although these are not Chicago R's I thought this would be a good place for these pics from a Chicagoland company. My friend let me borrow these pictures of his MB Mack Groot Disposal truck. That was the truck he started his career in. The first two pics of the MB are the same truck but the third is a Haulaway truck. The Hendrickson was my friends Dads truck. It was truck no. 1. The last pic is a White. I believe these were taken in the mid to late 80's.
