  2. My single axle donor truck is an H67LT so it's got aluminum suspension brackets and air tanks. I cleaned the tanks thoroughly (inside and out) and pressure tested them. I used a jitterbug with 320 paper and then wet sanded with 600, 800, and 1000; then polished with Mothers. They're still scarred from decades of hanging under a truck but I like them anyway. I'm not going for a showroom new look, I like a truck that has some character to it.

  3. Bob lived in California and was a lifelong environmentalist and was defeated in the House of Representatives election. He was sick of the world; of Covid-19, Brexit, Russian belligerence, global warming, racial tensions, and the rest of the disturbing stories that occupy media headlines. Bob drove his car into his garage and then sealed every doorway and window as best he could. He got back into his car and wound down all the windows, selected his favorite radio station, started the car and revved it to a slow idle. Four days later, a worried neighbor peered through his garage window and sa

  4. Ya'll - I have paint! Doors are done. Goal is to have the cab done by the end of this weekend. I'm one happy girl - I think the truck is, too! The rest of the truck will be this color with a white cab roof (down to the natural seam). My seat upholstery should make sense now. Anybody craving a can of Dr. Pepper with me? 🤩

  6. So as some know I have been very sick for 10 days now, I feel like I'm never going to get better. With all of the pain and suffering that I am having, I want to talk about blessings.. The very first is my Beautiful Wife! She has been there for me In an amazing way, and even with patients... I also have a Dochsund named "Mack" who sits with me all day and keeps an eye on my, or a Paw, or his snout, you get it. My wife's employer has been amazing with support for us and is paying here 80 hrs. to stay home with me.. "Chewy.com"..... My part-time employer calls me and checks on me. He offered to

  8. My new wiper system. I never really liked the L model wiper system. The standard B I thought was much better and was certainly more refined. You can throttle it back so it sweeps so slowly, you don't need a intermittent. Plus, the arms park and stay parked when not in use. None of that occurs in the L cab. With that in mind, when I cut apart my cab I removed all the air supply lines from the center windshield post. Now that I'm at the point of the rebuild where things are going back together, I needed to figure out what I was going to do. The search took a while, but this is what I came up wit

  9. A friend told me about his trip out with his grandson. This is what he said. "Last week, I took my grandchildren to a restaurant. My 6 year-old grandson asked if he could say grace." As we bowed our heads he said, "God is good, God is great. Thank you for the food and I would thank you even more if Grandpa gets us ice cream for dessert. And liberty, peace & justice for all. Amen!" Along with the laughter and nodding of heads from the other customers nearby, I heard a woman at the next table remark, "That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't even know how to pra

  10. WHAT IS GASLIGHTING? The term originates in the systematic psychological manipulation of a victim by her husband in Patrick Hamilton’s 1938 stage play Gas Light, and the film adaptations released in 1940 and 1944. In the story, the husband attempts to convince his wife and others that she is insane by manipulating small elements of their environment and insisting that she is mistaken, remembering things incorrectly, or delusional when she points out these changes. The play's title alludes to how the abusive husband slowly dims the gas lights in their home, while pretending nothing has

The drama is overwhelming at times, but they don't much talk to me since one of our political conversements where they were challenging and taking liberties with their guaranteed rights under the constitution. They took exception when I informed them that it is that document which guarantees your type the right to breed, which is against everyone else's constitution. With that one I thought the mother in la

  12. The breakers are Klixon CDM-20's. There were four originally, all 20 amps. I'm adding a fifth and the panel can take six. I'm using the far left hole for my Jake Brake switch. These are from the original manufacturer and identical, except the units are sealed ones and the reset button has the amperage printed in it instead of in a little recess. I sourced them from Waytek, Inc., www.waytekwire.com . They had them for about half of others at $16 ea. They're available from 5-40 amps. I'm assuming your H model dash is similar in arrangement, as my '63 standard B has automatic breakers a

  16. Saw my first "Double-Masker" today at the supermarket. It was ahead of me in the checkout line. Came with a bonus of wearing plastic gloves, and it wiped down the pad of the credit card machine. I go through my checkout routine, and head out to the parking lot. I did like I always do when I got out the door- ripped off my face diaper. I was walking to the pickup when double masker is pushing it's cart back to the store- it yells to me "Hey you need to put your mask on!" Without hesitation I shouted back "Hey you need to MYOFB!" Groan.

  17. Making steady progress! Paint: I went with single stage acrylic enamel, still ran me over $250/gallon, plus primer, hardener, etc... By the way, the Rust-Oleum Farm & Implement paint is awesome. That's what I used on the frame. We've used it on other trucks and it holds up! This week I've been sanding and doing body work. Discovered that my truck is a "local girl" when I revealed GUILFORD PAPER CO., INC. BRATTLEBORO, VT on the original paint on the door. Still trying to track down info on this company. So far my Brattleboro friends know nothing about it. I do have a call into t

  19. Chop-Chop, just cut those two feet of excess wiring out of my new harness I was talking about. But, it needed to be done to make it fit the cab. Clustered all the wires by component, so if I ever have to change something it'll come out without being tangled with something else. I still have to prove it out one more time and double check all the connections for tightness, add a grounding point. Back to the cab after that to chase some wires around before the dash goes in for the last time. Remove my blue tape tags, too!! I've also got my windshield wiper solution to install. I hunted

Achieved some more, the Tip Turbine is all back together Never got a answer on the grease so just used wheel bearing grease So it's all back together and fitted back to the truck Then proceeded to fix the stub axle nuts that hold the bearings on after some clowns had taken to them with a hammer and chisel, no doubt Les and Vern So welded them and ground them back with a flap wheel Now I need to find a socket to fit They came up pretty good I thought Paul

  21. Critters gotta eat, and it's my job it there. A good truck sure helps...R-model w/20K steer & 46K Mack drives on Camelback, with a steerable & liftable tag axle when needed on the road. Unfortunately, just a power divider...not full lockers. Proper tools are important, too. Only had 6 chains on the truck...chained up all 4 on the front drive & the outside 2 on the rear. 1st attempt was a chain fail...front right inside popped off, slicked up the ice, and the chains on the outsides had nothing to grip...forward momentum stopped & I had to back down for another try...grossing 61,

  22. Dave, I painted the hood last winter. The cab needs done, but I buffed it up to make it look a bit nicer to go along with the fresh paint on the hood and the new doors I put on a couple years ago. I painted the fenders about 20 yrs ago. The grille shell is almost 20 yrs old now. I bought it from Watts back when they were still "cheap". I keep it waxed up. The transmission is still an ongoing mission to replace/upgrade.

I get the age thing but who is the government to decide which works are "essential" which aren't?. It should start with the oldest that want it and work it's way down the the chronological ladder IMO PERIOD!!! Just another in the LONG list of things this government is doing to fracture the population into "us" and "them" by treating some people as more important that others based on their occupation. 24. There are too many irregularities that have yet to be explained for me to believe the "official" outcome of the election is in any way legitimate...the biggest one being how Biden underperformed with every "important" demographic group in pretty much every precinct EXCEPT for a handful of urban districts in "key" swing states...in which he overperformed by *just* enough to eek out an electoral college victory. Add to that the whole foreign interference/hacking/tabulation software issues with the electronic voting machines, the "under-the-table" ballots counted when counting was allegedly suppo

If you answer the phone with, “Hello, you’re on the air.” most telemarketers will quickly hang up. When one door closes and another opens, you’re probably in prison. When I say, “The other day…” I could be referring to any time between yesterday and 15 years ago. Interviewer: Tell me about yourself. Applicant: I’d rather not because I want this job. Cop: Please step out of the car. Suspect: I’m too drunk. You ge

Okay, when I say "they" I mean "I". 😆 Well, days into the body work, I've had some moments of frustration. If I never have to sand Bondo again, it will be too soon! Good news is, the cab is the biggest and most annoying surface area we have to content with and it will be ready for primer tonight. After this, each panel will come in individually and will at least be more ergonomic to work on. The home stretch is the hardest, ri

The other was introduced in the 70s they were apparently given to Mack executives as paperweights. The truck is possibly pewter it's heavy and well detailed it's also supposed to be only given to Mack executives. Anybody know anything about these I'd be happy to hear from you.

I was reading on the interweb this morning, some woman said biden had done more good in the last 4 weeks than Trump had done in the last 4 years, and biden has not yet done one single thing that is for the good of the country that I can think of. I don't even know how they come up with such ridiculous garbage, could they actually believe that? I always heard you shouldn't speak ill of the dead too, and the hatred some of them are spewing about Rush Limbaugh is almost unbelievable, but then you consider the source. Funny how when the fight comes to their (politicians) door, it needs to be stopped. When American cities were burning it was peaceful protesting and should be encouraged. I will never support any politician, regardless of party that condones/supports the killing of the innocent in the womb. At the end the day parties don’t matter, a clear moral conscience does
