^^^^^^^ I agree with This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Once upon a Time, News Organizations reported the Facts & nothing but the facts. You could then form your own opinion based on the facts,, .....................Today their far too busy promoting their Owners Point of View.

Jim Parks, Today's Trucking / September 16, 2019 What kind of a truck does it take to keep Alaska’s Thompson Pass clear of snow in winter? Battling average snowfall of 500 inches per year, this Mack Granite snowplow has earned the respect of the DOT crews that patrol the snow capital of North America. Equipment Editor Jim Park accompanied a film crew to Valdez Alaska. .

I've been trying to get someone to do some welding on my rails and one axle housing, finally got someone to say bring them in. It sure is a slow process to get all the different things taken care of before I can begin reassembly.

The barrel is rifled so it’s no different than shooting 357 mag birdshot shells. The rifled barrel is what differentiates it according to the ATF.

For really tough hauling an automated manual like Volvo's is no substitute for a real automatic like the Allison.

^^^saying that is racist^^^ yesterday i was at the parents and saw on the news about a homeowner that was being charged with manslaughter after shooting and killing a career criminal that was armed and broke into his home. it should have been no charges due to self defense, but this is nu yawk where criminals are coddled and the law abiding are guilty of defending themselves.

Interesting article. I always cringe when i hear about gun control because everyone knows it does not work only law abiding citizens obey the law. In Chicago there is a new State attorney (district attorney in other states) Democrat, black female received campaign money from George Soros she refuses to prosecute property crimes valued at less than $250.00 doesn't ask for bail or only a low bail for people picked up on gun charges that have already been convicted of felonies. This is why there is always more than 2 dozen shootings in Chicago every weekend . The Mayor of Chicago a black female lesbian helped create a state law requiring schools to teach LGBTQ history she claims all of the gun violence is due to young men not knowing how to settle disputes. If she believes that then instead of LGBTQ history why don't she create a law to teach conflict resolution? But what place do I have stating any of that being that I'm a middle age middle class white christian conservative heterosexual male AKA the problem.

well just so everyone understands I lean very far to the right and I agree with the comments made here especially the one stating it's not about democrat or republican rather about right and wrong. how do we know the left is wrong? well for more than 50 years their programs have failed miserably. because only common sense would dictate that mutilating ones body (transgender, transsexual) come from mental illness being gay or lesbian or bisexual should be a persons private business and not taught in schools HELL schools shouldn't teach any sexuality that's the responsibility of parents. we also know that the left is wrong because they are hypocrites, liars, and don't apply logic, common sense, or science to their views and when confronted with logic ,common sense and science they resort to personal attacks. One of the biggest problems we face is that the left infiltrated the school system and many people never learned how to think for themselves which is why they follow the media that doesn't report facts but distorts and omits them and interjects opinion as if that was news and facts. We must all take an active part in the education of our kids and grand kids teach them what every dictator has done on their rise to power and the kids will see that the media has become the propaganda arm of the left and gun control is not for safety but when the politicians seize our guns they will next kick in our doors and seize our real property as easily as they now do with our paychecks. college students don't know how our government works and even less about history and that is how the left is gaining control PLEASE teach your kids and grand kids not only what Hitler did in the death camps but all of the policies of the Nazi party and what other dictators have done in the name of safety and security which ultimately and intentionally had the opposite effect

I don't know what you have of the steering gear on your LS85 but my L-model - like Mack truck (NR) has one named as Mack Archemoid gear. I had two of them when revised, used perfect low mile screw and sector but found play of the sector cross shaft (the Pitman arm was pressed onto). The shaft turns in two needle bearings and I could trace a pair of NOS ones through fleabay. Those were Torrington brand and almost identical to the original content. The final issue was new bearings supplied almost the same play of the shaft and some overall play in the assembled gear as it was with the old ones. So looked like a factory design to me. I was thinking on plasma-welding excessive metal to the shaft journals and than grind them down to the desired size but passed on that being afraid ruining the shaft.

One thing no one has mentioned the biggest promoters of the division of our country is the liberal news media. They lie daily by omitting key facts of news stories to slant them to their liberal views. One cant blame one whole sector of people for their views when the liberal news media spoon feeds them the line of crap daily they are promoting. I think places like CNN and MSNBC should have their FCC licenses pulled not because their views differ from mine but because they have turned into propaganda mills turning out one sided views and like I stated before they are masters of lying by omission of key facts in news stories.

Took a couple roads I haven't been on in a while. Saw a couple of Autocar dump trucks, the remains of a Twin Coach delivery truck and a bear. Bears can run really fast!
