Gold paint number

Recommended Posts

I don't have a PPG code. Dupli-Color DE 1604 (Ceramic Universal Engine Gold) is a close match in a spray bomb. Spray a sample piece and a PPG dealer could use their color match "camera" to come up with the paint.

Gold is a tough color to match these days because some of the good paint ingredients are not allowed any more.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

If I recall, the part number for "Maxidyne Gold" was 312SX63P2 for gallons and 312SX63P3 for spray cans. But as this was exclusively produced for Mack Trucks by Kirker Chemical of Patterson, New Jersey, I don't think you'll find a direct cross to PPG.

PPG began supplying Mack with paint (for the factories) much later on, and was never offered to Mack distributors.
