Trailer brakes slow to release

Could be a few things. Possible air valve sticking or brake chamber failing. I had a brake cam seize up once too. I had to remove it and clean shaft grease it and reinstall it.

What type of trailer is it and how old? How many relay valves and air tanks are there? And how many axles? Have you checked the supply line from the tractor?

Are you talking about service brakes being slow or parking brakes being slow to release. Just some questions to get a place to start.

I had a similar issue on the brakes of my Lowbed they where very slow to release whenever I had to separate the trailer, I ended up replacing the valve on the air tank for the trailer, after I replaced all the issues went away.
