  1. What is the difference between a '99 E7 427 engine and '99 E7 460 ??? Injectors ? Valves ? Computer ? I've replaced one with the other but got a slog, doesn't do well in hills. My 427, original engine, gave out at about a million miles. It was very strong. I was talked into buying a 460 but it is awfull on hills. During delivery the the computer was crushed so I had to use my original. Might this be the problem? It has no power. What can I look into?
  2. I thought I had asked for pics but I didn't. Could you send me some pics to me garciabros2000@yahoo
  3. How did recheck or found out the AC switch was bad? I've had same problem on a e7, coolant is ok, replaced intake sensors, only need to check AC but how?
  4. Finally I got lights to work ! The panel box on the firewall must be in more bad shape then what I thought. Ive had other problems with it before but I've tried to clean it well and all seemed well for a good while. Problem was that testing the relay was good and would pass current to the relays terminal BUT not the the wire. And to my buddy who replyed thanks and yes that red thick wire was very corroded, it broke when I took off the whole panel off and I also thought it was input current but actually it's output to the sleeper.
  5. So what happened to truck ?? Still up for sale?
  6. 1999 ch613. This is how it happened and what I did.. My trailer's marker lights werent working, I checked the panel box on the firewall and everything was working. After that I checked the row of terminals above it, next to the coolant tank. There was the problem, bad contact due to little rust on my black wire, all others were fine. So I cleaned that terminal and checked it again with test light. IT WORKED !! Ok so when I was tightening terminal back on I accidentally touched the terminal next to it (white) which is ground and made spark... Hopeing it was only spark I put test light, Not working again ! but this time 2 of 3 cab lights not working either. I went back to panel box and everything seems fine there. I've checked inside panel box too and seems fine also went fuse by fuse... I checked the marker light switch and don't have any current there only the switch next to it which is for headlamps/other 3 cab lights. That's where I'm stuck now. Please help, I made a small problem bigger now
  7. My coolent is good and not using my a/c. It's winter time and my water won't heat enough for heater to heat properly.
  8. I have a 1999 Mack Ch613 and my fan clutch won't stop. Fan clutch it's self is fairly new but I'm pretty sure that's not the problem. I suspect it's something electrical. Some times driving down the road I hear it come on and off about 3-4times per Second, like if has a faulty relay or sensor. Any ideas or clues?? Where can I find its relay or what sends the signal for it to come on and off. It's air operated, turns off when air is introduced and shuts off when it doesn't. Most of the time 85% it's on meaning it has no air in line to fan.

  10. Yes it does. I bought a blixxton chip cause my new 460, replaced my 427, didn't cut it total pig. Well it only happens when put chip in full power otherwise it doesnt misfire. Do you still think it needs replacement or just don't run full power. Also see noticeably way more black smoke
  11. I have this two switches on my 1999 Mack Ch but I've never known what there for if and when I should use them. There location is dash area, left of steer colun. They read batt feed and ing feed, what are they for???
  12. Any one know what this code stands for. 1999 Mack Ch613
  13. Motor is a '99 E7 460hp. Water level is fine. This only happens when I'm driving, if I stop and store or job site it warms up nice but if hit the road temp drops again.
  14. Hello to all. Winter is peaking it's head in Texas and I'm running a cool motor. I've had this motor installed a couple months back and temp. hadn't being a issue till now. When I run in the highway and it's 45f-55f degrees outside it reads water temp at or just over 100f and it won't warm up till I stop moving. Temp will be normal as long as its not cold out and on highway, same thing with heater. What can I do or check?? Only thing I can think of is trying a winterfront but I've never had this issue before and don't think it's that cold outside. Can it be the thermostat?
