  1. I talked to some frame guys and apparently since the plate is bolted in NOT welded its not suppose to break on the ends. Being bolted its still suppose to allow it to flex. We will see. I have a sinking feeling this thing has a double frame in its future. No help from the dealer of course. Oh maybe we can get you a couple hundred bucks. Along with the busted frame and cross members I had to to a brake job and wheel seal. The U bolts that hold the front axle on were loose as hell just hanging there. In the process of the wheel seal found a bad bearing. There is no way this truck should have gone out the door the way it was. I cant name names yet. You can bet if they don't make it right you will know where it came from.
  2. There will be bolts on all 4 corners. Hopefully to keep that from happening.
  3. 06 Mack Vision. Just got it. Feels like the rear end is loose. Wonder why? The white on the frame is grime from hauling ag lime from the quarry. The detail shop painted it with with some nice thick black paint. There was paint behind the broken cross members. When I washed it the crack disappeared. That's why I didn't see it when I got it. Started fixing Saturday Hope to have it done today. Don't sound like we are getting any help from the dealer.
  4. They are tiny compared to American sleepers. The sleep test don't mean much. I always had a hard time sleeping in a new truck unless I was completely exhausted.
  5. This is it 06 with 850,000 miles. $32,000. Rebuild 460 E7 and rebuild 13 speed.
  6. I dont have a mack as of right now. We went shopping for a couple good side dump trucks that my brother and I could run for the farm. We are farm hands here in northeastern Nebraska. We found the perfect one for him. A 93 t800 heavy haul spec KW with a 3406B cat 13 speed 2 speed rears day cab. Very very clean old truck straight from Cali. The one I found is a 06 Mack vision. I didnt write the miles down but its over 500k. 460 E7 13 speed. Both engine and trans have been overhauled. for $32,500. There is some cosmetic stuff like always in a old truck but its nice. Problem is I know nothing about the Mack engines. I know enough to stay away from Paccar and Mecades. Is this E7 a good engine? I've only been around the the big 3. Cummins, Detroit and Cat. I know thy all have thier problems and it depends on if the last driver abused it and so on. The price is right just have to talk to the banker.
