I happened to find this site while searching on Google yesterday. I've been a big truck fan my whole life, and Macks are my all time favorites. I grew up in NYC in the 1960's, and it always seemed that Macks were everywhere. FDNY was a big time user of Mack fire apparatus, the NYC Transit Authority had a fleet of tough-looking Mack buses (and some B-61 wreckers, too), and the local trucking companies had L's and B's galore. My truck is "small iron": a 2000 Ford F-350 Crew Cab Long Bed Dualie 4x4, with a 230 Powerstroke and a 6-speed ZF manual. I'm a member of the American Truck Historical Society, the Motor Bus Society, the Electric Railroaders Association, and the NYC Transit Museum. I'm also a dedicated reader of Bulldog magazine, and a long-time collector of truck and bus literature. I look forward to learning a lot more about the Bulldog!
