  1. ok, back from the shop, simple fix, a fuse that looked good but tested bad was replaced. problem with wiring is sometimes the simplest issue is overlooked, sometimes you have too p..ay for the education. back to work now
  2. kind of what i was figuring, needs to be fixed anyway, i will check on the intake side for loose connections if not will have to limp it the five hrs to a shop i give up
  3. ok talked with a mechanic that has several of the same trucks. he said to check the turbo clamp, i did, had a worn exhaust pipe and the clamp was loose leaking exhaust, no oil leaks from the turbo. when the parts house open tomorrow this is what i will try. he told me that this issue will throw the same codes and cause loss of power. crossing my fingers thanks for the help i will update tomorrow.
  4. ok thanks i will take a look at the wiring, the nearest shop is about 5 hrs away, if i cant see anything i quess i will limp it there, begining to think i should just stick to my 79 rd much simpler lol
  5. does anyone know where the ecm is located or if i have one. there are only two wires coming off the injection pump into the harness, i assume they go to the electronic pedal, there isnt a ecm on either firewall. i still am getting a 6-2 and 6-3 code on the dash also my cruise isnt working now, frustrated
  6. ok?? how do i fix this problem, do i need to take it to a shop or is it something i can do?
  7. not sure, its a new truck to me, i thought it was an e7 400, this is the first issue ive had so far
  8. ok looked behind the kick panel, not sure what im looking for, where would the module be located?
  9. ok thanks i will check this out, didnt even know there was any electronics on the passenger seat. i quess they could be loose or damaged will check and see thanks alot!
  10. ok I am lost, upgrade from a 1979 rd to a 94 ch613. I have had the ch parked for about 3 weeks in 30-35 below wind chill. she started right up after it was plugged in for a couple of hrs. after about three hrs of running I had a loss of power and the electrical malfunction light came on. cleaned the filters out and my power slowly came back but the light hasnt gone off. I ran the codes on the dash and it came up a 6-3. looked up what that was and all it says is j1708/j1587 link. I have no idea what this is lol any help would be great thanks alot
  11. i believe he said the ten had a ll and a higher overdrive, he also told me it was a newer model,he is doing some more research and am suppose to get bak with him monday. sounds like the one thanks
  12. ya they are 6:34s and i have tall rubber, use it for a haul truck, i think the rear end are 54000lbs,i wpould like to keep it mack, found out today the pto on the older macks wont bolt up to an eaton, holst truck repair in idaho fall was telling me i would have swap bell housings also, found a 9,10,and a 12 speed in riverton wy from a guy whos worked on these oilfield trucks for some 30yrs, he thinks the 10 would be best so im learning thanks for the help, sure like the truck its been good to me for the last five yrs
  13. thanks , iam assumeing that the 2100 is an airshift?
  14. i have a trl1078 that is currently on its last legs, i would like to upgrade to gain some more top end speed. its behind a 287 maxidyne. my top speed is maybe 55 empty. am happy with the rearends but need to a go a little faster, it also has a 1241 brownie. I use it in the oilfield in north dakota, not a lot of hills but with the brownie should give me enough to pull the heavey loads. if anyone is in north dakota for long they would appreciate me going a little faster need some help, was just reading on some other posts, would a t2050 be a good option?
