Replacing Series Parallel Switch

Recommended Posts

I changed mine over to a 42 MT 12 volt starter. I made sure the battery cables were in parallel as I had to move the batteries. When I bought the starter they suggested I put in an extra solenoid between the starter button and starter solenoid. Did not have any problems but only used it a couple of times. Since have removed all the wiring as it was a real mess.

Mike D. One thing I remembered was I had a clearance problem and had to bend the vent pipe & fab. a new mount. You can rotate the starter and move it in a number of small steps. The solenoid was always it the way. A 50 or 39 may have ben better. You may or may not have more room on your Cummings.
