mackey58 Posted June 21, 2015 Share Posted June 21, 2015 My boss fixed the air on the 05 granite1500.00 all new unit in cab the unit was packed tight with limestone dust even tho I replace the blue filter a couple times a year would that cab air filter that screws into the cowl filter help it stay clean more any of are any of you folks using themight one for it and the 90 r model and fonyou have to take them off to wash the truck Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rsb502 Posted July 6, 2015 Share Posted July 6, 2015 Heck yeah it does, I did the same thing to my 04 and all the new 06's at a former job, the cab fresh filters are well worth it, if you keep the ac on recirculate it helps keep it from sucking the dust out of the airbox into the wet evaporator where it turns to sticky mud too. The same thing goes for that truck, keep the AC on recirc it closes off the oiutside vent and keeps the dust out, or its supposed to anyway.
