2006 and up Renault 12-220 or 12-280 7.5 ton medium truck. Nothing to do with MACK but the letters. Paul

That cab is made by one of those European cab manufacturers that supplies multiple companies. The same cab without the extended portion is being used on the currently offered Kenworth cabover and DAF trucks in Europe (Paccar) The Mack Freedom (marketed as the Midlum in Australia and under Renault in France) It was full of engine and wiring issues and parts availability/cost issues. Mack released it around the start of the cabover demise in the US for city deliver trucks.

We see a few of those through our dealership, sold as Mack Freedom here in Canada. Basic engines are quite well built, but the rest of the truck, especially the wiring were a bit of a nightmare. Parts availability is the big issue now.

Funny , only Renault could use the Lucus (prince of darkness) Electrical System . . .and make even it worse.

Remember when Renault brought us Le Car?

Yikes!

I had a customer sitting in his Le Car in entrance to my alignment bay telling me how great it was, when it caught on fire under the dashboard. He replaced it with a FIAT 131. Glutton for punishment I guess.
