Some decades back we had 11.00x20 truck tires produced in Russia. USSR more correctly to say.

They were marked metric and it was 280x508. If you count out inches multiplied into 25.4 you'll get that figure.

I think there were also 10.00x20 and 12.00x20 with metric marks of 254x508 and 304x508.

Not sure it will help you much although as far as I know there are no modern tires of metric sizes wich reproduces inch types.

11.00x24, 11.00R24.5 etc is for taller, "full profile" tires and 285/75R24.5 or 385/65R22.5 is applied to low profile stuff.
