Flathead FoMoCo V-8 engines and Chevy/ GMC 216 and 235 sixes were popular swaps. 1/2 the weight and double the power. Depending on the sprockets you can get 50 mph out of them.

I'm waiting for a call back on it. Paul

It's ideal for my needs. I've made a dozen trips to Mahans to photograph, scan, measure and have engineering drawings made of the AC / Christe conversion they are restoring. This one is clean and a perfect test unit to test fit the parts up. Also has a pretty clean cab with the often missing door assemblies. If all goes o.k. I can pick it up on the way to or from the MARMON GATHERING in Denton, Tx in the middle of April.

Seems worth the parts alone but too bad nothing left of the original hood, they are so hard to find in decent shape. But the windshield, trim, tranny etc. all worth something.

I have the MACK drawings for the hood and have cast a set masters to make the stamping / cuttting dies for the side louvers. Eventually I'll be able to make a most of the hood. The originals were actually 3 pieces hammer welded together, not including the small flap on the top.

Damn cell phone Shipping. It's out west right?

Yes in Southern Idaho. I'll pick it up on the way to Texas with my Marmon and trailer.

Long way from Texas 1200 miles from KC

1500 from L.I. to Denton Texas for the Marmon Gathering , 1400 from Denton to twin Falls for the AC than 1260 to Belle Plaine Iowa for an other AC-6 chassis and a pair of 1935 AC-6 / CJ-CH rebuilt flathead 6 cylinder engines, than a 1000 to my shop in Fork Union Va.

I am 90% retired, semi single and have nothing but time to travel and search out AC MACKS.

If you get to Belle Plaine, you are only a little over 100 miles from me.Hope you have time to stop by on your way back east.

Would never pass up the invite for all the AC's in the country!

If I didn't have the second chassis and AC-6 power packs probably would have.
