Some time in the mid-90's,I paid $250 for an '81 or '83 wagon to use as a work car. I can't remember the year or whether it was a Plymouth or a Dodge. It was the longest 6 months of my life.

That's why Lee made the BIG BUCK$. Did you know there is a K car club? Other than the organizer, I wonder how many members?

The actual figure is not known because most of the members wish to remain anonymous.

Station wagons have been the "hot item" the past several years.

I've never been bothered by the stigma associated with station wagons and minivans. You can't beat them for practicality and besides, there are plenty of other things about me that make me a dork. My vehicle is just a small part of the equation.

When I grew up almost everyone had a station wagon or a 4 door car. I never saw owning one as a stigma. When I worked sfter scholl at Chamberlin Chevrolet in Oyster Bay, the ower had a COPO 1969 Caprice wagon with 396, 4 speed, buckets, console . All the things you would get on an Impala SS but in a station wagon. My uncle who owner Oyster Bay Shell had a 1967 Fairlaine 390 4 speed.

Time out! Those are from an era when all cars were cool!

Times have certainly changed from the days when woodgrain was a status symbol.

I guess the cars you grow up with you think are cool, I grew up surrounded by 20's through 60's cars. The 2 I wish I kept would be my 1963 Impala SS 327. 4 speed. Red with Black interior and my 1964 Nova SS. 283, 4 speed with PS, PB and AC. Turquoise, Black Vinyl top and Black interior.
