Just a quick B update

Recommended Posts

Thanks, I have had three B's and all have the map/dome light removed. I have found a couple of lights that look like license plate lights that almost fit, but just look a bit too out of place for what what I am trying to do. Watt's suggested I visit a boat shop, they might have lights that would maybe be a better match.

felicello122 - Thanks! These seats came out of a mid 90's GMC Yukon. They worked great cause they have the seat belt built into them. They are a powered seat but I am not going to wire them. For them to fit they need to be all the way back pressed up against the cab. But they fit pretty well.

Freightrain - I ended up ordering the headliner through Watts. Wasn't excited about the price, and after over-sized shipping cost. It's a cardboard based headliner. When I tried to installed it, I was messing it up. I have the sleeper on my truck, so the headliner needed to be trimed. Found a local guy who did a good job for a good price and fixed my goof up and got the rest installed. Wish I could take credit for the headliner but interior is just not my thing. While it did come out nice, and I am happy with it. If I have to replace it down the road, I will find someone local who can make one.

My bunk cut out is around the top the rear window, so even a repop headliner would fit okay in that area. I had a local shop do the crawl through stitchwork and I installed it. I had thoughts of taking just the headliner, but it is so out of shape if he copied it likely it would not fit. I need to take the whole truck, but that is an expense I am not ready to put out yet.

I want to make door panels too. Nothing fancy, just some simple diamond stitching maybe. Then snap it on. Again, someday.
