Lucky you,if my wife woulda spotted that,Id be the LAST person she would tell..

She pointed it out...never said I could try to buy it. That's an entirely different tune I'm afraid. Paul

She's definitely a keeper.

I know what you feel about. Had some luck many years back.

But in my case I couldn't steer it down along the way.

I'm just worry seeing you showed out the deal having it not almost done.

The previous time we found out there were spies everywhere.

Neat piece of rusty iron by the word :)

The owner is a very difficult man to deal with if you do not know him, very set in the old countries way of life. We agreed on a price and shook hands on it. His word and a handshake is his bond. The other advantage is I rented a Gas Station/ Repair shop from him and was treated like family as opposed to his other tenants. He is from Norway and one of my mechanics (who I grew up with) was from his home town in Norway. We kept the place clean and no junk visible, stopped what ever we were doing took special care of his family when ever they came into the shop. Paul

Oh, that all makes sence.

Sounds like a home deal.

By the word Norway is one of the best looking countries on my mind.

And it looks like they have at least one Mack (haven't seen any more)

That is a good looking MACK, any history on it ? Paul

Speaking of wives and purchasing of cars.... tell me how you think this is going to go....

My older brother is a very successful Wall Street businessman but in a rare twist is also one heck of a mechanic. Nothing he can't fix or rebuild. He has a collection of 12 cars ranging from a 1967 matching numbers Ferrari 330GTC to a 1985 MB 300TD... Shelby GT350R, Defender 109, 2006 BMW M5 1969 GTO convertable... you get the point. New and old.... European and American.... All beautiful.... His wife, enjoys the cars and even drives some but finds all of it to be excessive.

So I get an email from him the other day that says.... "oops I didn't think I'd win this on ebay".... 1973 BMW 2002 (his first car ever owned or raced). So this weekend, his wife is going upstate to antique shop with her mother and sister near Lake George and he is supposed to play Mr. Mom. Well his daughters practice was cancelled and he decided to pull his son from his 8AM LaCrosse practice and he will be driving to PA from CT to pick up the car....

How do you think its going to go on Saturday night when he is out in the garage tinkering with his new toy and the wife calls to say goodnight to the kids and she asks "how was your day"? And their response is... "boring, Daddy pulled us out of practice and drove us 8 hours round trip to Pennsylvania to pick up some old car"....

Number 1. His secret is safe with us. Prediction on outcome.......she won't care. She will think it is cute.

Number 2. If he gets bored with the 350R, let me know provided it is a legit 1965. It would make a great birthday present!

Jim

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

Many years ago when we were first married, I fell up the stairs (so I'm told), holding the registration to "her" new 64 GTO. . . She didn't think that was cute, still have the scar on my noggin. Wives are funny some times. Paul

No Paul, no traces to the moment.

I tried to google the site from the pic but didn't get success.

It looks to me like one of WW2 E's went to Scandinavia for civilian needs.

I just keep my eye on, hope to find the owner, it would be intersting to learn the history.

Not many E's over this side of the sea.
