The Tanker was Peterborough NH, it got hit HARD in the left front corner by a drunk driver while returning from a fire. Insurance wouldn't total it and wouldn't put rails in it. May be worth looking at but I don't believe it drives straight. If anyone is interested I can get the inside scoop.

cstaples;

Thanks for the info. Ironically, Peterborough, NH's previous tanker, a Mack "R" model, was also severely damaged in an accident with a propane truck in 1997. While responding mutual aid to Rindge, NH

the tanker collided with a propane truck at the intersection of Rtes. 202 and 124 in Jaffrey, NH causing the propane truck to roll over into a building. Fortunately, there was no explosion. I believe that the

propane truck driver was cited for not yielding to fire apparatus.

Nashua, NH Public Works Department runs a fleet of these Mack "LE" CNG powered recycling and rubbish trucks. This particular one is a recycling truck; others are side loading rubbish packers.

There is also an "MR" CNG front loader rubbish truck. In addition to the Macks, there are also CNG powered Freightliner rear loader rubbish trucks. The City of Nashua has invested greatly in

CNG powered and hybrid vehicles for its municipal fleet.

The red B was originally a B68 I believe with a gas job fire truck chassis. My dad bought it in the 70's and put a new dump body on it. I rode in it as a kid. My dad sold it to the current owner. Has 237,6spd, power steering, neat truck.

I don't know which Fire Dept it came from,I don't think my Dad got it directly from them. I was too young,maybe 4 or 5 when he got it . I could have the story wrong,but I seem to remember it being a fire dept truck of some sort.
