Trying to find a way to get connected directly with truckers. Had a bad experience with Brokers before and don't like them. We have a 85,000lb load from NV to KS. 1300 mi, overdim load, very flexible on pickup and drop (a month). Really hoping to catch someone on a backhaul or headed our way. Load is a Cat scraper. Width is 12.5ft so no need for escort in interstate.

I have tried Uship before and just no good rates it seems. If there is another place to list our load for truckers, please let me know.

Thanks!

You could try Steve Hudson of Hudson Supply. He runs out of Brockville, Ontario, but hauls all over the US. Search Hudson Supply on the web.

Normally I would say yes but I don't have my spreader bar with me. Nv has some of the damdest weight laws. Kinda just as screwed as Az. I can get more on a triple out there then a quad. 12.5 wide that sounds bigger then an 85k machine. unless it has a coal bowl

Where in Nv anyways. Bootlegging is only a crime if you get caught

Also keep in mind Ks only gives 65 on a quad and anything over 145k or so gets costly and interesting. I may know someone that is out and about .

This is near Elko. Very near the interstate. The weight I got was from the OEM via phone call. I am going to do some more searching to verify. The newer ones were near 100K. Thanks for the replies guys. Been trying to find a machine for a year now only to hit another road block...

The actual spec was 84,000 but I am adding some for fuel but maybe lost again in tire wear. Weight bias on machine was 56,300 fronts, 27,700 rears.

If I read the KDOT table right, due to the oversize load, you have 73,000. Most weight is obviously strongly biased.

EDIT: Nevermind, I was looking at wide axle charts. 65 it is. I think with the bias though, you could get it done. I work numbers all day and would be happy to analyze the load and make a load sheet to make it all work...

AS WELL, please remember that if we got this moved in the next few weeks, we would be fine. I don't need it tomorrow. I just need some budgetary numbers to know what it might cost so I can decide whether to terminate this purchase or not. If the rate is workable, we will secure it and wait for a truck to be going by to get it.

I live in Elko and know of a local transport that will haul whereever. They have done some major scaper moves from somewhere in the midwest to here in the last few years. Elevation Transport is the company name, I grew up with the one of the owners/drivers, his dad is his partner. If slpwlker can't make it work you should give them a call to check price. They run some pretty large lowboys that should be able to get the job done.

Yeah I can't scale it in Nv and forget Ks without the spreader bar. Might have to load it backwards over the neck

Scaling correctly is so overrated. Especially when it's somebody else's money..........

Is the spreader bar you mention what you had behind the trailer when hauling the giant winch?

Yeah it was Rob. Few loads later it malfunctioned and I bent the coupler. Couldn't get the right weight down and didn't trust it to run it.

Why do you want to haul a machine that is on rubber tires when you could road it and then after the move could fill in all of us on here with the story and pictures of your adventure Randy P would probably come help drive it

Can you get it up here? I'd bet we could repair it. Send some photos.

It's already back home. My dad drove my pickup out to Houston brought me 4 tires and took it home. It is fixed but now we are taking the hydraulics off and making it an airbag system. Had to many problems with the original system and going to canabalize it some more.
